I like most of your posts, but I just cannot get on board with this rationale, which seems to be the case *every.single.election*-most people never really like our "choices". What does that say?

The 'lesser of two evils' is still evil. I would love to see the day when the two political parties and the candidates they put up for us are truly recognized for what they are. There are more independents in this country than Republican or Democrat loyalists-but when it comes time to vote too many "hold their noses" believing the media rhetoric of "electability" and "familiarity".

America has sunk to the bottom of the industrialized world in education, and this election is certainly indicative of that.

Here it is again. Would you mind linking an unedited video of him just once "inflammatorily" referring to any nationality, which does NOT include the term, "ILLEGAL" ?
Please don't bother listing any media-provided "quotes" because they omit what he can be clearly heard saying in all of the unedited Trump speeches & interviews available on youtube (and maybe CSPAN).

Your other "talking point" sounds quite silly as well, beings he has Jewish family.

This is why I'm still undecided. Only way to get a clear picture is to turn off the TV, IMO, unless we're looking for entertainment to pass the time. All of them, including Bernie, make some good points. Politicians are like broken clocks, so the tough part is sifting through all the nonsense...

Exactly-I cut the cord years ago! Most crap from the boobtube can be viewed online if I ever do want to be entertained with it.

You are right that seems to be the case of every election. Unfortunately, that is our system. I, too would like to see candidates are I would vote FOR not just to vote against the other guy. I have had the opportunity in this primary to actually vote for my candidate of choice-Bernie Sanders. And it is not just a matter of jumping on the Bernie bandwagon for me. I have known Bernie for many years. He (and his office) has helped me out PERSONALLY a few times. My husband knows him better than I do. Whenever we see Bernie at a functions, he comes up to my husband and refers to him by name.

BTW, thanks for your kind words about my posts.

OP, what a silly thread title, as if to say somehow most Americans "had an idea' what they were voting for in the past decades which to anyone who's paying the slightest amount of attention turned out to be nothing more than a slick package that keeps running out country into the ground on just about all aspects.

As usual, you bring up a great point, about the cost of redecorating.
On the flip side, do you think we could get Don Trump and his soft-porn third wife to agree to NOT redecorate?
Really don't want the White House looking as tacky as some of their gaudy homes.
It would really be embarrassing for the whole country.

(As if having an orange, former reality tv show host and bigot (with bad hair) for President was not embarrassing!)

Rhetorical question, definition:

"a figure of speech in the form of a question that is asked to make a point rather than to elicit an answer"

This is why I haven't posted an answer, not because I don't have one.
