I check the University calendars ..... YEP, Spring Break was during the Primary in Missouri, maybe also in some of the other States. That's Bernie's main base and they were off to the beach instead of voting.

Even with his main base gone to the beach - Missouri was a virtual tie that Clinton barely won.

What if the Yellowstone caldera explodes?

Because the most reliable demographic to show up when it's time to vote are old people and Bernie doesn't seem to be courting them.

He struggled in States that had closed Primaries, States with a strong Catholic base, a strong voting population over 60, and states with connections to the Stock Market. Outside of that he did good.

Maybe I missed something, but when have Republicans spent any money on negative ads against Bernie Sanders?

"If Republicans viewed Sanders as the likely Democratic nominee, he would face negative advertising and intense scrutiny of his record, on everything from his honeymoon in the Soviet Union to his large spending programs. Like any less well-known candidate, Sanders’ unfavorable ratings would rise as people became more familiar with him, pollsters say."

He also lost the Black vote, the Hispanic vote and the Jewish vote. So, if you add them to the people you mentioned, Hillary represents more Americans, not just a select group.

Look, everyone should give Sanders kudos for an exceptionally well run campaign and reminding Democrats that they need to focus on helping working people, health care and education. I believe Pres Obama has done his best, considering the obstructionism he's faced for 2 terms.

For a virtually unknown Senator from a small state, Bernie has certainly gotten much further than anyone expected. However, it doesn't mean he's even close to winning the nomination.

Actually Republicans - specifically the America Rising and the American Crossroads PACs - have spent money attacking Clinton and supporting Sanders.

Or, you know, maybe they had to actually go back to work, rather than wait for hours with the retirees?
