Over the last 40 years, a Democrat (including total winners such as Mondale and Dukakis) has received at least 88% (often a lot more) of the black vote in every single presidential election. I don't think Democrats are worried about the black vote.

Unfortunately the people those votes elected have not done much to help the black community.
He was very clear, he wanted to stop Muslims from entering the country for ANY reason. If you're a top executive of Exxonmobil, and happen to be Muslim (and not a US Citizen), you can't come to US to meet with your colleagues at HQ in Houston. It was quite literally one of the dumbest things anyone has ever said, and it totally negates anyone who says he understands business, or suggest that he might make the American Economy "great again". he's clueless of how business works in the real-world.
At times Trump is his own worst enemy. Using all encompassing statements because "Something has to be done" and then having to clarify what he meant. Her doesn't use healthy terms when he's describing things at times.

In 2012, Pierson had complained that both then-GOP nominee Mitt Romney and Obama were not "pure breeds" because their fathers had not been born in the United States. She has also quipped on Twitter that Obama was refusing to help the black community even though he was the "head Negro in charge."
No, all it does is reinforce the fact that liberals use the race card for every situation and against every candidate they don't like. You can't use it anymore with any effect. That's the truth, even though libs don't like to hear it. Every Republican running for office has been called a racist for the last 30-40 years. It simply doesn't work anymore.
Actually, that is no more true than the fact that every time a NeoCon wants to avoid a claim of racism, they use the excuse that someone is playing the race card.
Blacks being mowed down by cops: Sometimes true, sometimes not, but rather than discuss the facts, blame it on the race card.
Unemployment higher in the black community: Maybe due to racism, maybe due to lack of motivation, maybe due to longstanding societal issues, but why even debate it, when you can say it's not even real, it's just the race-card.
Cops pulling over black drivers at a higher rate than whites? Maybe (I think the stats bear it out), but who wants to waste time looking at the cause, when you can just discredit it with the race-card.
And most importantly, if you're the one getting better job offers, better pay, better treatment in society, and less fear of your fellow citizen, why would you (not me) want to challenge that. It's not real, it's just people playing the race card.
Maybe the "libs" do play the race card too much (I'm not sure, but maybe), but it's absolutely certain that the #1 defense of any racial concerns is "it's not real, you're playing the race card". God forbid you shold take an honest look and try to solve the problem, rather than justify your position.
Maybe Trump should emphasize how his crackdown on illegal immigration would possibly help blacks.

I agree the retweet was not a racist thing. Although it was an example that he has a habit of not fully checking things out before reacting.
Also being against illegal immigration doesn't make him a bigot and neither should suggesting a halt on Muslim immigrants until we have a better system for vetting.
And that's a big problem. It's mind boggling to me he didn't know the facts. (Granted I read some strange things in this forum that people think are facts which are not remotely true.) Often enough the crime is committed by someone you know or hangs in "your" circle. Generally speaking peoples circle of friends are similar in appearances.

- His real estate company, Trump Management Corporation was sued by the Justice Department for racial discrimination (refusing to rent to Black people in Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island) for quoting Blacks different rental terms than Whites and lying and stating that apartments were not available.
- He took out full page ads calling for the death penalty for Black teenage suspects, who were later exonerated for the crime they were accused of.
- John O'Donnell, former President of Trump Plaza Hotel and casino, wrote that Trump once said " Laziness is a trait in Blacks. Black guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes every day.”
Although Trump called O'Donnell a disgruntled employee, he did NOT deny the quotes attributed to him, in fact, he said in a later interview:
“Nobody has had worse things written about them than me,” Trump says. “And here I am. The stuff O’Donnell wrote about me is probably true. The guy’s a ****ing loser.
- His unprecedented attacks on the sitting President, who also happens to be the 1st Black President (at least partially so), for everything from his religion to his nationality.
- He does not call out his supporters for blatant racism. Evidenced by his failure to immediately disavow David Duke and the KKK (who are responsible for the lynchings of approximately 3,500 Blacks, with the most recent being 1968), or condemn physical assaults against protesters.
Then there's this quote:
- “And if you look at black and African American youth, to a point where they’ve never done more poorly. There’s no spirit.”
...and this one:
- “Sadly, because president Obama has done such a poor job as president, you won’t see another black president for generations!”
