You only hear about this in other countries but now these groups are trying to sabotage our democratic process.

Makes me even more determined to go out and vote for Trump if nothing else then to stick to these groups. Who do they think they are?

This is just the beginning of this type of stuff I think. While I obviously dont condone this at all, what do you expect to happen when you spew racist, sexist, bigoted, hateful rhetoric on the public stage for the world to see as you try to become the leader of the free world? Trump needs to learn he can't just say whatever he wants, and neither can the POTUS.

I do not want Trump to be the GOP nominee, but this kind of fascistic terrorist tactics are disgusting and whoever did this should be caught and tried and locked up for decades. Good God, are we becoming some 3rd World Banana Republic that chooses leaders by violent coup's now??

Time to take a serious look at yourself, Dexter!

Like a lot of Americans, I have plenty of questions about Mr. Trump; but the unflinching loyalty, and the constant parroting of the same accusations, overblown "facts", and repeated rhetoric just serve to convince a lot of us that the "progressives" see in him the most substantial threat to their goal of complete dominance of American opinion, and will stop at nothing to block him; and that is precisely why a lot of people, despite personal reservations, see him as the lesser of several evils.

I've been watching American politics and statecraft since the early Sixties; even back in 1968, I doubt that the polarization was this intense, or started this early. It's a very sad judgment of how the media continue to misshape us into a collection of overgrown adolescents.

Keep right on ranting; you are probably one of the strongest voices for Mr. Trump at this site!

@ Dexter

You're nuts. We are a free country, freedom of speech and all that. These groups are trying to keep people from saying what they want? I don't think so. Political correctness gone overboard.

I hope they catch these morons and bring them to justice.

Unfortunately, he is not the first to go through this, nor will he be the last. There is a reason secret service protection is available for candidates. In 1968 a presidental candidate, Bobby Kennedy, got assassinated. I hate to think how many threats Obama received. Don't forget, Rubio's DC headquarters received an envelope of white powder right before Florida.

By deciding to run, this is a risk Trump should have been aware of, and should have prepared family members for.

Non-sequitur. Look at how many people who spoke of working together/peaceful means and what happened to them? Exhibit A, Martin Luther King.

I think the main issue is when money/power gets stirred up, people who stand to lose something from it start showing their sociopath/psychopath side. Plus just the fact that there are many unstable people out there who get off on doing such psycho things. Don't over think it.

That's all it is in a nutshell.

It seems when things like this happen to Trump and his family, excuses are made and it's not really a big deal. If someone lunged at Hillary, the person in question would be hauled off to God knows where and we wouldn't see them interviewed on MSNBC to tell their side of the story.

This is why a man like Trump is needed in office. The loss of law and order starts at the top and trickles down. If we had an effective system and leaders who recognized lawlessness for what it is, it would be dealt with swiftly and serve as a warning for future attempts.
