Ted Cruz is out-hustling Trump in the process of recruiting delegates in Arizona, which Trump won decisively last month. If Trump wins 1,237 on the first ballot, it will not matter, he will be the nominee. But if he doesn't win on the first ballot, it appears that the majority of the delegates in Arizona will vote Cruz on the second ballot and presumably thereafter if more than two ballots are required.
Of course there are other states where this is going on as well, such as North Dakota, where it appears that Cruz won 18 of 25 delegates that he endorsed in Saturday's party convention there, which is also mentioned in the article above.
You know GOP is making mockery out of democracy when two thirds of the GOP candidates are counting on being back-doored in my party elite.
They should be and nothing is stopping them. But Cruz and his team excel in this sort of grass-roots organization type stuff and Trump excels at making an ass out of himself in order to get free media coverage. Trump has been doing well as far as free TV time, which has arguably provided him his current lead.
But now it is time to get down to brass tacks. Like Ross Perot used to say, the devil is in the details. At the end of the day, it is about getting 1,237 individual delegates - people - to vote for you at the Republican convention. One of the most important things you can do towards that end is to get people appointed as delegates who are supportive of your candidacy, even if they are required to vote for someone else on the first ballot. Ted Cruz clearly understands that. Donald Trump, maybe not so much.
Exactly! And Ted doesn't need 86% to beat Donald. He just needs 32-47% to stop him getting the 1237.

That second vote, is going to be brutal for "The Donald"
He has no ground game, and Ted has the Ron Paul Grassroots, that he had campaigning with Ron, during his senate run.
Trump can't go Independent. 17 states have loser laws.
You should calm down and realize that we have a "process" in place. There are "RULES" in place that Trump's temper tantrum isn't going to change.
You're not only going to see a Trump tantrum but a tantrum of millions of voters. He can go Independent before the convention or write-in if it appears he is getting the shaft. Nice try though ..

That happened because of how we got Woodrow Wilson, the most dangerous President to freedom to ever exist.(Yes, worse than Obama)
