Who new that snaring was such an important skill for a presidential candidate to have. Well, at least the Republicans have one candidate with impressive snaring capabilities.
It is a skill needed by the president, because they need to be able to snare Y or N votes from both the Senate and the House for getting bills passed. The president needs to be able to work with individial members of congress and this includes negotiations/discussions/promises if the congress member agrees to switch votes to something the president wants. This snaring skill is most important in close votes when each individual vote becomes very important because it could sway the outcome one way or the other.

And who better to work with Congress that someone that already knows a thing or two about the art of the deal ...
I don't like the unbound delegate scenario at all. It gives cover to whomever is the closest crony of the delegates, not who won the most states or the most voters. Theoretically I guess you could end up with a nominee not even in the race, like Paul Ryan

Well said. Clearly Ted Cruz has this skill and Donald Trump does not.
Trump doesn't have to steal delegates like Lyin' Ted ... think back to how Mr. Haney treated Ben Carson in Iowa.
Hysterical that a man that runs a campaign on Biblical faith doesn't believe in the commandment "Thou shalt not steal" and won't say whether or not he cheated on his wife.
Its not "stealing" delegates. This is how the game is played when there is a contested convention looming. Are you new to politics or something? Trump is, and so are his stupid "advisors" or he would be out doing the same.

What is interesting about this situation in Arizona (and in many other states) is that Ted Cruz is snaring Trump's BOUND delegates for post-first ballot voting, when they will no longer be bound to Donald Trump.
This is very smart and also a demonstration of how hard working and extremely thorough this campaign is. All of which is in stark contrast to the knee-jerk impulsive efforts of the Trump campaign.

Except the Trump supporters are crying about CRUZ courting the delegates, saying it's stealing. Trump is threatening a 3rd party run which shows he's not trying to court delegates for the GOP primary. That's a turn off to delegates when they know Trump is planning to ditch their party. That's pretty dumb on Trump's part because he should be busy courting delegates in preparation for a brokered convention. Instead, he's threatening to quit the GOP. Major failure on 'the art of the deal'.
