Cruz is wrong but right at the same time. New York is strong BUT it is VERY liberal like a San Francisco. New York is very liberal, we all know it. Even the Republicans are liberal leaning Rockefellers like myself. He's gaining upstate traction because of this because they got it and knew it was the liberal values of "downstate NY." I wonder what my former home of Long Island will do because let's face it, they are pretty Republican because they fear NYC liberals and have been for years.

I Live in nyc, and I'm not a Ted Supporter, but what he said was taken out of context. And for the most part what he said is true. NYC is generally money driven in every sense and as pretentious more than any place you'll find out here.
Funny how people who so readily understand that Ted's remarks about New York values can turn a whole state against him, but not grasp that implying certain nationalities are rapists and murderers or that certain religions are terrorists not to be trusted, or that gay people are disgusting, or blacks are criminals, and on and on doesn't have the same effect on the voting patterns of those groups.
It's the hypocrite part that brings down Sanctimonious Ted. NY values are no good but NY money for Ted Cruz is just fine.

Well you're probably a Trump supporter, so your "outrage" about what Cruz said is fake and irrelevant. You are only "outraged" as a matter of convenience, because the comments came from Trump's competitor, otherwise you'd probably agree with him, that is, unless you're a Liberal yourself who shares those New York Values? Are you a Liberal? Those same "values" that Cruz was talking about are the values that would keep New Yorkers from voting for Trump in the general election same way they wouldn't vote for Cruz or any other Republican, but yet, because it came from the mouth of your man's main competition, it's wrong, right? You aren't outraged about what Cruz said, you are outraged because Cruz is the one who said it.
Trump has so blinded 1/3rd of the Republican electorate that he now has them defending an area of the country that is heavily supportive of everything that Republicans, including Trump, are against. Amazing.

How pathetic that REPUBLICANS are all the sudden embracing a garbage, liberal filled state who's politicians and most of its citizens support illegal immigrants, sanctuary cities, Obamacare, anti-second amendment laws etc...it's an even worse nanny state than CA. They want to impose laws on everything you do and control every aspect of your life. NY is a liberal toilet that needs to be flushed. They stand for everything true Republicans are against.
