During the debate, Jane probably said, "WTF, Bernie, I've got to file the 2015 tax returns tomorrow, too, Jesus. Thank God for TurboTax."

We haven't had a President who didn't hand out favors
to Wall Street since Jimmy Carter.

Revisionists have been unkind to Jimmy Carter, but IMO he was the last president to actually do something for the common person. They have demonized him ever since for having done so.

Yeah, he destroyed the public education system, caused a hostage situation in the ME for a lot of common people. Raised taxes on a lot of common people. Created an energy crisis that resulted in common people having to wait in lines for gasoline to get to their common people jobs to pay for the increased costs of home heating and cooling fuel for the common people!!

Oh and those double digit interest rates and double digit inflation was SO awesome for the common people!

Try $1.5 million for Trump. Yeah--where are his speeches, and where are his tax returns for that matter?

He didn't do any of those things.

Yes, it's obvious - she stood up in a room full of hundreds of people, knowing that it was being recorded and said that she will block any legislation that isn't beneficial to her audience.

Meanwhile, back in the real world, one speech that was released shows she was talking about female empowerment and gender equality. We certainly wouldn't want revolutionary ideas like that talking hold!

One reason this bothers me so much is because we all know how Romney divided "the makers and the takers." I didn't have a favorable opinion of him prior, but that type of attitude behind closed doors lost him what little respect I had for him. (Like he cares, obviously! But that's the problem.)

Trump should release his too of course. Although I disagree about his being "really wonderful." Here are some other things he's sold:

The high probability of that is why I want to know about it.

All I know is that, even in 2006 when he was running for the Senate, he admitted to earning over $250,000 when his opponent called him "a very wealthy man." The C-SPAN video of that debate is available. Sanders also bought 85 acres of land in Vermont more than 50 years ago with a small inheritance, which he talked about on NPR in a series called Journey Home. What happened to it? Did he sell the land? He's been in Congress for 26 years and his wife was a college president. Of course there's nothing wrong with a U.S. Senator being rich, but the whole disheveled, hippie image that he and his wife portray just doesn't add up for me. I'm Jane's age and live on Social Security, but I know how to comb my hair.

He has less than most candidates running if not all. Everyone in Congress makes almost 200k (174k?) So if his wife made 75k at the time, that seems about right.

The difference is that theirs is *earned income.* Not stocks, real estate, etc.

Vermont (and NH and ME) have a lot of land. A lot of this land is relatively inexpensivr. 85 acres OVER 50 YEARS AGO?? Now your just reaching for reasons to dislike him.

The comment about Jane wasn't really necessary. Its like me saying i kinda like her because she is heavier than the other wives.

Too bad you hate him because he seems like he would be the one candidate to protect the social security that you live on.

The media is entitled because the VOTERS are entitled.

You might be able to put in a public information request for that grade. I'm guessing someone already saw it and it was A or B because we would have seen conservative outrage if not.

A bit disingenuous but that's our Bernie.
I didn't know that. Ty for telling me.

Well thank God Ronnie told them to hold the hostages until after he was sworn in! I had no idea he caused the energy crisis all around the world all by himself! Wow!

Idk why he "destroyed the public education system." I think you might be thinking of Clinton and Bush.

And thank GOD he raised taxes! Someone has to be a grown up sometime. "Reaganomics" has led to a plutocracy.

Double digit inflation is obviously untenable. On the brightside, it was nice to make nearly double digit interest rates from savings accounts I'm guessing. Heck I was making 7% on my savings from my hs job in the 90s!

I also would have owned a home by now if we were still in Carter years.
