Trump has a "comprehensive" plan concerning illegal immigration. Other than Trump, no one else has such a plan so those "following" other candidates won't have a clue what Trump and Trump supporters are trying to explain. Some get one headline from the media and just keep chanting it. There are very few things that "can't" be done.

Again, it can be done: https://visawolf.com/mr-trump-here-is-your-border-wall/ Illegal aliens cost us more than $113 billion tax dollars per year and many lives because of their crimes and/or bringing illegal drugs across the border. Amnesty will cost more than $6.3 trillion dollars.

I noticed that Kasich wants to make them legal and checked his donors list in open secrets which explained to me why he felt that way. Slip some money in his pocket and you obviously own him.

First all, a lot of the land it would need to be built on does not belong to the government, it is privately owned. That means buying the land. Next would be the problem of permits and environmental impact. There would also be a problem with design and engineering such a huge undertaking. And finally, how big would it even have to be to keep people from going over (or under) it ?

Forget this stupid idea ! It is never going to happen and should not ever happen. This ain't King Arthur's era, it is 2016, and building such a monstrosity would be impossible, and ineffective, to say the least. Why don't we include a moat with alligators ?

Trumps "wall" idea should be followed with the expression "Here, hold my beer and watch this !"

Don

Once again, if it were impossible then why did congress approve that 700 mile long wall along the most porous areas of our border already? Did they just approve it with no thought as to how it could be done? We don't need a 2,000 mile wall just build the 700 mile one already approved and it would help immensely. Of course it won't stop illegal immigration altogether but it would go a long ways to assist the Border Patrol and curtail illegal immigration. I get the feeling that those of you who constantly harp about the wall have a whole different agenda other than complaining about how it won't work or the costs involved.

What exactly is racist about not wanting illegals coming here in huge numbers and then giving them amnesty as if they did something great by breaking the laws to enter this country?

Don't hold your breath for a viable answer from the one you are replying to. Illegal alien isn't a race. It's an unlawful status in our country. Racism has nothing to do with our desire to have our immigration laws respected and enforced. Most of us embrace legal immigration in reasonable numbers and in diversified numbers. Where's the racism? Only in a kooky, liberal's or ethnocentric's mind.

I love how the illegal alien apologists know better what's in someone else's mind than that very person. "You hate Hispanics! You're racist! You hate all dark people!" Obviously these people have never had a conversation about illegals with a black American in a border state like California, or with legal immigrants from non-white countries like India, the Philippines, or (gasp!) Latin America about the slap in the face that is illegal immigration. Guess they are all racist white hillbillies on the inside. So what is the solution? Just have totally open borders to prove that we aren't xenophobes?
