"I think the idea of a Donald Trump or a Ted Cruz presidency would be an unmitigated disaster for this country. I will do everything in my power and work as hard as I can to make sure that that does not happen," Sanders replied. "And if Secretary Clinton is the nominee, I will certainly support her."

Charlie Rose Grills Sanders On Comment That Clinton Not Qualified (VIDEO)

I think this should put to rest Republican dreams that Sanders would run as an independent, or that he wouldn't endorse Clinton if she wins the nomination.

It's a long way to the Democratic Convention.

If Bernie keeps winning and if the Hildabeast Clintonista Politcal Destruction Machine comes to full bore on him lets see what tune he sings then. Right now they are not wanting to upset Bernie supporters as they need them in the general.

Bernie just shot himself in the foot. He is destroying the only thing that makes him a legitimate candidate to many of his supporters. Bernie is a full on establishment supporter, because there is no way you can really stand for what he claims, and then say you would ever support Hillary.

Sanders just needs to be himself, someone whom you can't trust!

agreed.

Not long ago, he said on youngturks that

“If I can’t make it — and we’re going to try as hard as we can until the last vote is cast — we want to completely revitalize the Democratic Party and make it a party of the people rather than one of large campaign contributors,” Sanders said in an interview on the progressive Web show “The Young Turks.”

Sanders also listed policy demands he would make of Clinton, including a single-payer health care system, a $15 an hour minimum wage, tougher regulation of the finance industry, closing corporate tax loopholes and “a vigorous effort to address climate change.”

Bernie Sanders Lays Out His Requirements For Endorsing Hillary Clinton

I was under the impression that his endorsement was not unconditional. If it is unconditional, then he clearly was lying.

Thank you for that link. I had not seen that before. As for his "conditions," I would be very happy with every one of them.

I thought the conditions should include the release of her Wall St. speech transcripts and not being found guilty of crimes? And also--important--that the nomination did not have bias.

Bernie has always said he's support Hillary if he doesn't get the nomination. His advisers have said it, he said it, Jane has said it - multiple times.

The alternative is Trump or Cruz.

He's a lot more reasonable than the faction of his supporters who are Bernie or Busters, and he's disavowed them several times.

He has no conditions. He will support her because it's better to have a democrat than republican in the white house, especially with supreme court seats.

Let your collective heads explode, Bernie or Busters.

One thinks he's reasonable sometimes and unreasonable other times depending on whether it suits one's own view.
