How many more times does he have to repeat it so that people believe in how Wall Street has fundamentally damaged our country in the recent past and still has the capacity to harm our country?
The problem is that nobody knows who will be more dangerous, Wall Street or Bernie himself. His vastly over reactive platform is the classic example of cutting off your nose to spite your face.
Right, adding a transactional tax to every trade and increasing capital gains taxes will only impact the evil 1% and will have zero impact on the every day worker/retiree. Do you really believe that? Besides increasing taxes on people and decreasing their realized returns it could also reduce the number of investment vehicles that people have access to. These are all very real possible consequences of his crazed desire to punish people financially that he thinks are too rich. It will hurt everyone.
We already had a transactional tax in the past and the markets were booming and many countries have it as well. Lots of economists believe it is absolutely necessary. The status quo of giant banks playing casino with the pocketbook of ordinary Americans is the real danger here. To defend crony capitalism as it stands is the path to ruin for everyone. Only an outsider not beholden to the vested interests can change this.
If the media wanted to make Bernie into an "outsider hero," like they did with Trump and Obama, it would have been very easy to do so.
Of course they can't due to Hillary's ties to Wall Street and the corporations who own the mass media.
