I'm sure this will spawn some interesting conversations, sadly it sounds pretty believable.

Anonymous congressman admits he never reads bills he votes on | Daily Mail Online

Not going to disagree with that, the GOP and Trump have proved all that true.

Clearly not a one party issue. You really think that its ONLY the GOP that has the monopoly on this or are you just playing the party game. These three bullet points alone can EASILY be assigned to both parties...who knows what else is in there.

Great post OP !!! Both parties of congress have many members who no doubt think this way and it shows in their approval rating. Around 12 %, slightly up from the single digit lows.

I'm sure those entrenched in establishment ideology will defend their "side" - as one poster has already done in this discussion.

Remember some years ago when such a book came out? It too was purportedly written by some Congressman (hence written by 'Anonymous'). I wish I could recall the name. It was proven, after making a big splash, to have been false from beginning to end.

I am incorrect to some extent: it was "Primary Colors" by Anonymous, subsequently revealed to be Joe Klein. Written as 'fiction based on fact', I believe. It was a big hit, until Mr. Klein admitted it was he, then it fell off the charts.

I bet you anything that it is ex-Rep. Anthony Weiner. He can't get another job, has a lot of time on his hands, has to stay in the apartment in Forest Hills all day due to the paparazzi and Sydney Leathers following him everywhere, is bitter towards the politicians for not stopping him from tweeting his wiener pictures (he has big hands), the wife is always on the road with Hillary, and they could use extra income to send their kid to a boarding school in Switzerland so he doesn't get bullied with dad's wiener pics in a US public school.

Nothing new here. Nothing was revealed that hasn't already been pointed out by the media.

I've said it before and I'll say it once again - you can elect a reality TV star to be the president all you want, but it isn't going to change squad. The very foundation is the problem here, changing the roof ain't going to do a thing.

To have real change, start by changing the campaign finance law. Until that's done, nothing is going to change.

So a congressman got a book deal to tell those of us who already know this, that we were right? It won't matter to the sheeple who just want "their guy/party to win."

Who is going to buy a book that "looks you right in the eye" and calls you out for being the fool?

And that author is such a coward he can't even man up and give his name.

"A book deal"? It's a vanity press book. Anyone can publish a book via that route.

Did you even read the article?
