A Maryland delegate to the Republican National Convention for Donald Trump was indicted late Wednesday on federal child pornography and weapons charges.

Caleb Andrew Bailey, 30, was charged with production of child porn, unlawful transport of explosive materials, illegal possession of a machine gun and possession of child porn in U.S. District Court in Maryland.

Joe Cluster, executive director for the Maryland Republican Party, confirmed to TPM on Thursday afternoon that Bailey was the same man elected to represent Trump at the summer convention from the state's 5th Congressional District.

This is who Trump represents and who the campaign chose to represent him.

This is why Hilliary is going to lose... nobody believes Trump has anything to do with a Maryland delegate... you Hilliary-fanatics are the reason why Sanders has done so well... we don't believe in your lies or your master's lies... It should say something about Hilliary Clinton when you post crap like this.... Go Sanders... #NeverHilliary

Shame on him. Now if only other delegates besides Trump's were under as much scrutiny, wonder what we would find if we scratched the surface, halos and gold dust?

Mr. Trump does not personally choose delegates. There are a lot of delegates, in both parties, that have less-than-desirable traits, criminal pasts, etc. While I may not be for Mr. Trump to be president, I have no doubt that he is totally against this type of behavior.

But, such threads are legion here. A democrat is arrested for something, the republicans herein start threads; a republican is arrested, democrats start threads. It is sad.

There is so much desperation and nothing of value to bring up which results in the absolutely most foolish things showing up. I'm still voting for Trump.

Funny though. I immediately thought of how Hillary took that case as a favor when asked defending an alleged child rapist. Not required but by choice. If I were a lawyer, I would want to defend the little girl. This was Hillary, not one of her delegates so anyone repulsed by the thought of a candidate having any connection to child sexual exploitation may want to look a little harder at Hillary.

I've always wondered how/why any lawyer could take such a case. But isn't it true she tried to excuse herself from the case? Not that it makes it much better.

No reflection on Trump. It does not matter. Go Trump!

Nobody pointed a gun at her head, and made her do it. She could have refused.
