For majority of this election cycle if you recall earlier in the year Trump was losing around 10 or so points to Hillary in most match ups, so Trump supporters were telling us repeatedly polls don't matter at this point Reagan was down to Carter1!1!! LIBERAL BIAS!1!!1! etc.
Then we had polls tightening where conveniently Trump supporters were talking about them at great lengths hmmm. Hillary supporters then say the polls don't matter till labor day, wait till the debates, CNN had analysts falling over each other saying polls also don't matter. Nate Silver also even criticised Americans for looking at polls at this point a few weeks back (cos Trump was drawing level with her and Nate Silver doesn't like Trump).
Now Hillary supporters are happy to talk about poll numbers once more because Trump has a crappy week and she's getting a bit of a bounce again. Heck Hillary supporters are even delighted to quote the so called discredited Rasmussen polls now, which they dismissed along with FOX polls as conservative push polls. But that's ok cos shes up 4 points in it so they become credible again.
The hypocrisy honeslty gets on my nerves, and about 90% of partisan posters seem to engage on this, even the "experts" on TV do. So to surmise the polls:
You're candidates poll numbers don't matter till labor day unless your candidate is winning.
