I agree and you're argument is with the OP not me.

I am an Asian American from the South whose family escaped communism and socialism. I am a lifelong Republican and despise illegal aliens, who give real immigrants like my parents a bad name, and I resent my tax money going to support illegals. I'm completely against the Dream Act. I also happen to be fiscially conservative and oppose the government regulations like the EPA that destroy jobs in my state and community. I support things like right to work and respecting the 2nd amendment since that benefits people of all colors. If abortion is limited, children of all races will be saved.

It's the Democrats that promote racial voting. But when illegal aliens bring crime into our country and take jobs from Americans, Americans of all races are affected. When the Obama EPA forces coal miners out of work, that Chinese or Mexican restaurant in that coal town will also lose business. When the EPA's war on coal forces everyone's electric bills to rise, that is color blind. And when Obama's weakness in foreign policy encourage Muslim terrorism against the homeland, ALL of us are affected equally.
So liberal asians in more liberal communities are brainwashed but conservative asians in conservative communities are...not?

Also, I don't think you realize how foolish the idea of defunding, or eliminating the EPA would be. Look at developing industrial societies around the world like India or Bangladesh. What makes you think we wouldn't regress back to those conditions? There's no reason not to try to reduce environmental impacts of our industries.

Right to work is also one of the most foolish ideologies in our modern economy, there is no evidence it's better for working people than non-right-to-work states. People are happy to accept the benefits of union representation but without having to pay their dues, tell me how that makes sense? People think we don't need unions because of labor laws, but republicans have announced they support defunding and eliminating the department of labor. So who is going to be looking out for the employees then? This country already lived through those conditions, and there was nothing romantic about it.

That is a load of you-know-what.

I live in California, and the Asian Americans in that state have trended to the Democrats because the Republicans in this state have gone crazy and pushed out the more moderate class of Republicans, which started pretty much when Pete Wilson who USED to be moderate, started playing racial wedge politics going after the Latinos. This pretty much caused the Republicans to self-destruct, to the point where they are now just under 30% of the voter electorate.

Well, a lot of Asians also figured they could be the target of racial scapegoating, too, in certain times when convenient. Maybe the Japanese American experience in WWII had a lot to do with it.

The Asian American group that tends to be more leaning Republican are the Vietnamese, because of anti-Communism. They're like the Cuban Americans in Florida. However, as the emigre generation that is most animated by jingoistic mindless Red-bashing passes from the scene, the younger ones are more likely to be Democratic. Not unlike the younger Cuban American voters. Heck, enough of them voted for Loretta Sanchez, a Democrat, in Orange County, to help her get reelected.

But at the same time, Trump illustrates the problem. Asian cultures tend to value good educations, scholarship, and intellectual achievment. You can only throw so many GWs, Palins, and now Trumps at 'em before they just can't take it anymore.
Cool. Didn't really affect the past midterm though.

My next door neighbor is Vietnamese and a true Democratic, but a good guy in spite of it. One of the funniest things I ever heard was him in his broken English telling me that Republicans are worse than the "f$$$$$g Vietcong! I just about died.

BTW, he's in his 70s so he would know about Vietcong!
