"Doesn't play nice?" You mean abide by the Constitution?

On the topic of Trump’s proposed Muslim ban and his statements that he could enact such a policy without Congress, Ryan noted that Republicans were releasing part of their agenda on executive overreach that very day, and, in news that’s sure to please Trump, Ryan suggested that he and the House of Representatives were prepared to sue a Republican president if need be.

“I would sue any president that exceeds his or her powers,” Ryan said.

Gotta love politics! When Obama issues an executive order, every legal challenge under the Sun is brought by conservatives with cheer. Trump face the same challenge, and the Constitution is somehow suspended until further notice by conservatives. Politics as usual I suppose, but this is hardly usual...

"Speaker Ryan was following Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s lead with a claim that he can control Trump. Elected Republicans are trying to reassure voters that they will be able to keep their potential president’s crazy in check.

This could be the worst selling point ever in U.S. political history. Sure our nominee is a crazed xenophobic, racist, bigot, but go ahead and elect him, because we got this.

The same Republicans in Congress, who shut down the government, who nearly caused a worldwide economic collapse by pushing the U.S. into default, and who struggle to pass any legislation, want voters to know that there won’t be any problems if Donald Trump wins the White House.

When the Speaker of the House is already threatening to sue the man running for president on his own party’s ticket, it is a signal that the Republican Party is breaking apart.

If there is no unity during the 2016 campaign, there will be even less unity if Trump wins.

Captain Trump is sinking the GOP ship, which is why Paul Ryan is running for the lawsuit lifeboat."

The zones could be set up easily with the money that we are paying groups and certain people who do nothing. The Billions that Obama promised Iran, who supports these Terrorist killings would pay for these zones alone. Instead of making a deal with Iran that he made, he could have made a deal with them that said we would not level their Country if they played nicely.

How much is it going to cost in lives to bring in all these refugees who we know nothing about? Leave them in their own Country and they can kill each other if they become radicals. The only people who favor flooding our Country with people who have a Religion that promotes violence, are those who care nothing about Americans, or are so stupid that there is no fix for them.

A Muslim goes off the deep end, and kills fifty people with an inanimate object, that can't think, walk, or talk, and has no religion, and the crazies want to ban the object, and not the people that are responsible for the Majority of the Terrorism. Too bad they aren't as vocal about "Background Checks" when it comes to the people that they are importing, as they are about people buying guns. Too bad they aren't as vocal about keeping guns out of the hands of potential Terrorists they are importing, with sound minds, as they are about mentally disturbed people.

No small wonder there is a divide among Americans. People are picking sides, and its going to be those who care about our lives and the right to protect ourselves, and those who support the Terrorists and are eager to put the rest of us in danger, then expect us to save their butts when things go wrong. And this will not change, regardless of who is in the White House. Good luck with that.

What exactly does he mean by countries that have a "history of terrorism"? What's your interpretation of it? Off the top of my head I could name a few countries that have a "history of terrorism"... France, Russia, Israel, U.K., India, Philippines, and Nigeria.

Back to the beginning of this thread, WHAT RYAN SAID!

The only ones who will miss Obama, are his idol worshippers! BTW, thanks for the laugh

Question. When you refer to the "billions that Obama promised Iran," are you referring to the following by chance? Or just what exactly?

The United States and Iran today have settled a long outstanding claim at the Iran-U.S. Claims Tribunal in the Hague.

This specific claim was in the amount of a $400 million Trust Fund used by Iran to purchase military equipment from the United States prior to the break in diplomatic ties. In 1981, with the reaching of the Algiers Accords and the creation of the Iran-U.S. Claims Tribunal, Iran filed a claim for these funds, tying them up in litigation at the Tribunal.

This is the latest of a series of important settlements reached over the past 35 years at the Hague Tribunal. In constructive bilateral discussions, we arrived at a fair settlement to this claim, which due to litigation risk, remains in the best interests of the United States.

Iran will receive the balance of $400 million in the Trust Fund, as well as a roughly $1.3 billion compromise on the interest. Iran’s recovery was fixed at a reasonable rate of interest and therefore Iran is unable to pursue a bigger Tribunal award against us, preventing U.S. taxpayers from being obligated to a larger amount of money.

All of the approximately 4,700 private U.S. claims filed against the Government of Iran at the Tribunal were resolved during the first 20 years of the Tribunal, resulting in payments of more than $2.5 billion in awards to U.S. nationals and companies through that process.

There are still outstanding Tribunal claims, mostly by Iran against the U.S. We will continue efforts to address these claims appropriately.

We need an awful lot of luck, a small miracle actually, when it comes to the divide between Americans that think in terms of your sort of rhetoric versus better common sense and balance. Does disagreeing with you mean that I "support terrorists and am eager to put the rest of us in danger?" You mean you, me, my wife, my children and all other Americans?

Hard to understand notions like yours outside the parameters of heat stroke or too much drink or maybe just good old-fashioned want to spout off with feel-good bluster about all you can't understand? That it maybe?

Yes, I suppose Obama's "idol worshippers" will miss worshipping him, maybe those with access to health care now that were prevented from access to health care before. Remember those dark ages when people couldn't get access due to a pre-existing condition?

In September 2009, the monthly Kaiser Health Tracking Poll report said:

The public’s most unanimous and bipartisan support is saved for a proposal to have the federal government require that health insurance companies cover anyone who applies, even if he/she has a pre-existing condition. Overall, eight in ten back the proposal, including 67 percent of Republicans, 80 percent of political independents and 88 percent of Democrats.

Remember those days as well when Bush marched us into Iraq? How Obama promised to get us out?

Then too aside from the "idol worshippers," there are the rest of us who simply lean toward Obama's more measured and intelligent direction versus the likes of what inspires Trump idol worshipers...

But please don't take it from me. Return to start of thread. What Ryan said!

33 million Americans don't have healthcare. Illegal aliens get free emergency medical care and clog emergency rooms visiting 3 times more often than American citizens. Ryan wants to give these people a pathway to citizenship so we can pay for all their care. And, we cover illegal pregnants from conception to birth and then the child until old age!

Oh, by all means... Let's support Obama, Hillary, and RINO Ryan in letting MORE Muslims immigrate from countries in which the penalty for being LGBT is DEATH.

Who thinks that will end well?
