It was fairly close - 56-44 isn't very good for an incumbent Congressman (especially one with the stature of a former governor). But win he did. I guess the good people of South Carolina's 1st District simply love a Congressman who is so enthusiastic about long-distance backpacking (even when that really means hopping on a 777 for a weekend tryst in Buenos Aires with your Argentine mistress!).

Mark Sanford wins GOP primary in tighter race than expected - Post and Courier

Hmm.....

Someone supporting the enabler Hillary Clinton, who is being advised by the wife of Anthony Wiener, probably shouldn't be condemning the people of a state because they voted for Mark Sanford for the reason you give.

Ha Ha. Very funny first post - especially the title and reference to the 10 famous hikers.

They ought to name one of the trail outposts after him: "Cheaters Bluff"

For someone often quick to chastise people for straying OT you might consider staying ON topic.

But, since you bring Hillary I'll note she wasn't the cheater, Mark Sanford was.

See the difference?
