The attempt by North Carolina to deny blacks the right to vote based on a need for a bogus ID card program has been overturned and will no doubt now deliver NC to Hillary. Sure it will be appealed by NC but given the dynamics of the court a 4-4 split upholds the ruling. This will also set a precedent and help overturn all these bogus attempts by other Republican led States to disenfranchise blacks and minorities.
Another nail in Donald and the repubs coffin and rightly so given their shameful and bigoted motivation to deny blacks and other minorities the right to vote. Their only hope in a diversifying country is to make it difficult for those that won't vote for them to vote, and now that has been taken away from them in a resounding fashion.
Say hello to the beginning of the end for the Repubs and their broken and bigoted party.

I don't have a problem with the ID portion of the law, but please explain why eliminating early voting, as was done in NC and other states, is helping to stop voter fraud.
Why do Republicans in North Carolina want to make it harder for legitimate voters to cast their vote? If you believe in a true democracy/representative republic, shouldn't you believe in making it easier for average citizens to vote, not harder?
Even when the DNC has offered to pay for the cost of running early voting sites, GOP-controlled legislatures have refused to do so. This is something that would literally cost taxpayers NO money and would increase voter participation, but it has been shot down by the GOP in some states. Why?

We had 1 day voting for CENTURIES and those that wanted to vote did so.
Why do we need "early" voting?
As far as Photo ID goes, even the Obama admin admits that there over 11 MILLION ILLEGAL in this country.
Should we NOT be cognoscente of the possibility that they might attempt to vote?
But they were just about as honest as the DNC convention which is why the Democrats have shot themselves in the foot. We are tired of their corruption and race baiting and telling lies.
They don't want a fair election. They want an election where their candidate wins no matter how it is accomplished.

The people of North Carolina voted for the legislature and they did a good job trying to stop the voter fraud in our state. There is something really wrong when three people can overturn a good law enacted by state lawmakers. Our legislators are being denied the right to do their jobs.
The people in the state of North Carolina should have the right to elect their own representatives without interference from fraudulent voters. That cannot happen without logical laws and making sure the person voting is who they say they are. The only way to make sure is a picture I. D. from everyone voting.
It is amazing to me that a judge would know so little about the election process as to think a voter can register and vote on the same day and still be properly checked on by the election officials. If our state does not win in the appeal from this decision our next election will be a joke. This would not be so important except we are a state who gets many questionable people voting and our elections are sometimes very close. I would really like to see ONE fair election in our state.
I have a very intelligent friend tell me she votes but she is not even sure it makes a difference because she feels the elections are rigged.
