No, he's not a bit afraid of the media because he is a narcissist, he has no ability to even consider that anything he says might be offensive or in poor taste, in fact he probably thinks he $hits roses

Disrespect for the family of a fallen soldier certainly does get me upset, and it's coming from both Trump and the Trump apologists here.

Trump is lower than pond scum and searching for new depths. He's insulting all families of fallen soldiers when he dismisses these parent's pain and compares his so-called sacrifices to losing a son. He insults all military personal past and present as well. Put this together with what he said about McCain and it shows a total disrespect for the sacrifices made by our armed service members.

There's very little they can do, if they disavow Trump they will be accused of being typical GOP elites looking to undermine the choice of the voters.

I'm sure they are as horrified as anyone and would love to repudiate him, but there's not a lot they can do.

Respect is earned, not given because you lost a family member. You can be a "Jackass" and still lose a Son. That Jackass doesn't deserve respect. His Son does. Its good that you get upset about things. Keeps you In the game

If Trump is saying things that "Offend" the people he talks about, that means he is doing a good job.

Good grief.

You can insult that dad all you like, but he certainly has Trump's number. Probably yours too.

You don't see the sneaky snake Hillary Clinton attacked the Benghazi mother. LOL I am pretty sure she wanted to, but she didn't.

See the differences? sneaky politician vs narcissistic billionaire boss

sheesh God saves us all.

Trump was smart enough to get this far, which no one said he would. A "Barking" Dog is always given a wide berth. It works for him. He "Barks" and his numbers go up. No one wants a lap dog like Bernie, who just "let go" and is now a kiss up.

You're talking about a different kind of respect.

If Trump had any decency (or brains) he would have let the issue pass without comment. If the reporters pressed him about it, all he had to do would be offer the family his condolences and thank their son for giving his life to our country, or some similarly decent statement.

Instead, he tried to claim his self-proclaimed success in business was a "sacrifice."

Abhorrent.
