Cuban couldn't be the one running like Trump so he'll attempt to get the attention by taking him down. He's basically Donald Trump before his ascent to power.

Cuban has said he wants to be a Republican, because he prefers a small government, but he can't support them because the party is such a mess. I think the tsunami of pessimism at RNC pretty much proves his point. It is hard to support such negativity.
