By being local, the public education system has community buy-in on the results that it produces. With less than half of college graduates finishing in 5 years, and producing graduates that are no more able to get jobs compared to high schools, how is this practical when we are $20 trillion in debt? How are we going to fund free college? Where do you think professor pay will go if college is free?
Congress is not going to play ball with many of the promises/ intentions expressed by both candidates.

The GI Bill kicked in during the 50's. Veterans who would not have otherwise been able to afford college were able to attend and some of them graduated and then put their own kids through school.

The first federal government student loans were made available to qualified students in defined areas of study. These were direct loan, federal government to students.

Those who choose majors in high demand and do reasonably well, interview reasonably well, have no problem finding good jobs. Choices have consequences.

She must have been deleting each email individually.

But why was she late? I mean, did her bus break down? Really bad traffic? There are some things you can't really prepare for, so it might not be reasonable to be overly critical of an unforeseen complication.

She has no respect for people. Just chilling in the AC while the peasants fall over 1 by 1. Trump, meanwhile, is known for his punctuality.

Yeah. About 9000. 8000 more than Trump got today.

What are you talking about? Tuition free college is $70 billion per year. Iraq war was $3 trillion. We paid 50 years of tuition free college in Iraq. 50 years! I didnt hear many people whine about that when Iraq was invaded. As soon as people suggest we invest in the people and working class of America though, people start griping.

What good is college without any jobs? They bring in people on foreign visas to fill tech jobs now, because that is who we are. The reason people can't pay back their college loans is because they are either unemployed (not counted in the government unemployment figures because they have never worked) or underemployed and don't make enough to cover living and paying back a loan.

I heard Hillary talk about creating jobs in clean energy. They were talking about this in the 70s before the Middle East gave Hillary millions of dollars for something. Hillary Clinton

Hillary's connection to big business means no raise in minimum wage either. No reason for it when she gives the illegal aliens amnesty since there will be more legal workers and if you don't like the wage, they'll show you the door.

Anyone that believes Hillary gets what they deserve. With any luck, since her conscience and her party won't take her out of the election, her health will.
