Jackass Trump accepting a Purple Heart he did NOT earn while blithely quipping, "hey, I always wanted one - this is so much easier!" than actually serving and getting injured is NOT COOL. That is the behavior of a first class ********, as if we hadn't already seen enough before to confirm that.

Put it this way: most normal humans will find Trump's comments around military veterans offensive, especially given that he uses his wealthy family connections to avoid military service. And that's what has happened in this nation in the last few weeks. But some nuts will no doubt find Trump's crap endearing. We call them "Trump supporters."

When you're talking about concepts like what offends people, then citing how most people see things is a valid approach. Plus, don't try to look smart about your knowledge of logical argumentation theory when you twisted a load of crap out of intentionally misconstruing "cool" from someone's post.

The education deferments came first, and when he finished college and the war was still on... surprise! Bone spurs! From a guy who never had any other health problems before. Oh, and of course they healed up later.

Given that Trump took advantage of the situation not to go to war, at least he should not mouth off against those who went.
Look, after all, at the luck it took for Trump not to end up in a Vietnamese prison camp. He had four student draft deferments, two while at Fordham and two after transferring, reportedly with the help of family connections, to the University of Pennsylvania, options not available to many of the men who were sent to Vietnam. He got a fifth, somewhat iffy medical deferment (“bone spurs”)..
