Jackass Trump accepting a Purple Heart he did NOT earn while blithely quipping, "hey, I always wanted one - this is so much easier!" than actually serving and getting injured is NOT COOL. That is the behavior of a first class ********, as if we hadn't already seen enough before to confirm that.
Was the vet the gave him the metal offended? You can have your opinion of what's offensive, but that doesn't make it fact. THAT is a fact.

Never said my opinion was fact - there you go trying to divert again.

Put it this way: most normal humans will find Trump's comments around military veterans offensive, especially given that he uses his wealthy family connections to avoid military service. And that's what has happened in this nation in the last few weeks. But some nuts will no doubt find Trump's crap endearing. We call them "Trump supporters."

Ad hominem + argumentum ad populum.

Proof of family connections to avoid military service?

When you're talking about concepts like what offends people, then citing how most people see things is a valid approach. Plus, don't try to look smart about your knowledge of logical argumentation theory when you twisted a load of crap out of intentionally misconstruing "cool" from someone's post.

Like most things with powerful figures, some guy off in internet space like me can't PROVE anything. But we do know that Trump got five deferments - one for supposed bone spurs in his heels, four for education. And he has avoided a lot of specifics when talking about it with the media.

The education deferments came first, and when he finished college and the war was still on... surprise! Bone spurs! From a guy who never had any other health problems before. Oh, and of course they healed up later.

Meanwhile, guys like John McCain and Human Khan went through a hell of a lot worse than bone spurs. While Trump was living lavishly, McCain was shot down in action and spend five and a half years in a North Vietnamese POW camp..and Trump ridicules their service and insults their families.

Given that Trump took advantage of the situation not to go to war, at least he should not mouth off against those who went.

Look, after all, at the luck it took for Trump not to end up in a Vietnamese prison camp. He had four student draft deferments, two while at Fordham and two after transferring, reportedly with the help of family connections, to the University of Pennsylvania, options not available to many of the men who were sent to Vietnam. He got a fifth, somewhat iffy medical deferment (“bone spurs”)..

Calling you out for poor logic is "trying to look smart"? Nice.

No proof is all we need to hear.

After observing your willfully stupid butchering of that "cool" train of thought to divert and derail the other guy you were arguing with, you have little credibility in calling anyone else out for poor logic.

Cool. And to be fair, I'm sure you'll stick by that same blind logic for anything to do with Hillary as well.

Yep, all those deferments just magically happened for Trump! But not the guys like McCain whose service he ridicules.

You're welcome. Thanks for doing your part in losing. I enjoy pointing out the foolishness of Trump supporters.

You support a guy who makes flippant comments about the Purple Heart, who insults families of soldiers who died, who insults a POW, and who did not serve when he had the chance.

Pretty hard for you to come away from that looking good.
