Some of his attacks are entirely unprovoked such as those against Judge Curiel, Megyn Kelly and the disabled.
Well, unfortunately for your hero Trump, who likes to diss veterans and their families when he never spent a day in combat, he is failing to do the math. He needs some of these Republicans (the ones you call wimps...they get one vote too and fyi can influence many other voters) to campaign for him because he is trailing so far with people of color, women, and now because of the Khan incident and the VFW, veterans. Making enemies of people that have been Republicans long before he switched parties is not very wise. It will hurt him in Ohio that Kasich does not support him and did not attend the convention. That could cost him the election.
Someone in his campaign should have told him to contact McCain privately and discuss these differences instead of handling it in front of the media. He handles things publicly in the most reckless manner possible usually. Or he could have asked McCain to rescind his "crazies" comment. The worst thing you can do is attack someone's service in combat. This is the most inept GOP campaign we have seen in a very long time. If you and some others want to approve of his blunders; well, thank you very much as he has dropped in the polls.
The Clinton campaign has been more focused on mainly attacking Trump. I am also excited about the chance for Johnson to get to the debates. Only know that I won't be voting for Trump; not quite decided between Clinton and Johnson yet.
Btw, I tend to agree with the retired veteran at the DNC that said "Donald Trump is not fit to shine John McCain's shoes." He would tell you that Trump is the wimp. Lol. This was said long after Trump's comments that he prefers to honor veterans that were not captured. I will give Trump a little credit for finally endorsing McCain, but think he got pressured by the party and the campaign managers.
Strictly for election purposes, I hope he alienates more people frankly. It will guarantee that he never gets elected. There will be plenty to keep him busy after he loses the election. He will be busy with the Trump University lawsuits after the election. It would be dangerous to have him anywhere near the nuclear codes.
John Kasich, btw, is on TV right now in an interview expressing why he did not endorse Trump and that John McCain is an amazing hero worthy of our respect. He will be supporting some other Republicans. One of the things he said is that it is important that we treat the Gold Star families with respect.
