There is something wrong in the Right Wing mentality - Who in their right mind would ask about using such a weapon. This is not someone that can be trusted in this areas, he may have a bad dream on night and wake up and decide that as he says " something going on there", and want to fire off a few Nukes. Geez !!!!!!

It's evident but Right Wingers can't see it, but the man has jumped into something he does not understand and the sad part is the number of people who propelled him to this level, now that is where the danger truly is, its within his constituency.

It's not that most thinking minded Americans did not already know the Right Wing was looney, they have validated it by their choice of Candidate. Even his rally's where he rambles on about nothing, and talks about his polls, talk about himself, then talks about his polls, then talks about himself, does a little name calling, then talks about himself, and by the end of his speaking he has said absolutely nothing but a litany of vitriol.

He thinks he can read headline news and conduct a rally based on the sensationalism of headlines, follow by an incoherent rant, that results to be the same over and over, of criticizing everything and anyone, and then he talks about himself and the crowd cheers as if this man has produced the fountain of youth.

It's truly saddening to watch his speech and his rally's and then to look and listen to the people who attend. It's almost like looking at a remake of the crowds in the streets fighting against Civil Rights in the 1960's, the only difference is some of them actually have on clothes from the current market of clothing retailers.

I know there are some good people who have been misled to follow Republican Ideology, but this base that Trump has is made up of a whole different volume of categories, from Sovereign Citizens, Tea Party, Racist, KKK and Nazi Types and every kind of fringe "anti-government" group imaginable, then there is the Hick sector of the truly uneducated and those who are minions of the FOX, (fight the world group), to the Hannity, Limbaugh, and O'Riley, (Confederate Ideologist, who push for an Antebellum Resurgence).

Most people in America know the system is not perfect, but most aware American know for the past 7.5 yrs we've seen nothing but Republican Driven Obstructions on every matter that has been put forth or addressed in the current administration. Most people in America know of "the pledge", the Republican took to oppose, block, tackle and undermine anything that the current Administration propose or pursue to do.
Most people in America know that any issues that is being had with ACA is driven by Republican Influences to try and defeat and dismantle as well as manipulate the executives of Insurance companies to fight ACA by any and every means to try and make it under-perform and even fail if they can find a way. We know that Republicans have long told the Insurance companies if they can find a way out, to pursue it, with a Republican Promise of allowing them to once again gouge and deny the public the services they pay for, and to allow them to escalate the price above anything the average low wage american can afford or even deal with.

Trump called on his idol Putin to continue trying to create havoc in the Election Process, and they hope to bring some disturbances that spill into the street and cause something as close to a Civil War as one can. As the Confederate Minded Republican have been Re-Rehearsing the Civil War Games every year since the war was declared over. They did not cede that fact, they simply chose to fight it covertly for all these decades. Putin would love to see American Discord and Violence in the Street, and the republican have pursued amassing as much weapons as they can, in their aims to be driven to pursue violence in the streets, as long as they can do so and not have to openly take and face the blame for initiating it.

Trump has tried to set many stages, from claiming there will be violence in the street if he does not win, claiming he could shoot someone in Times Square and people will still vote for him, to claiming the system is rigged, working to set up any angle he can to save face, through this madness being presented as a nominee.

It's Madness. ....

Who cares?

Did Trump say it?

Look at all the ridiculous posts based on something one of the talking heads said from the most liberal and reliably anti-Trump network.

Because having them is part of what keeps us safe.

I agree completely, I mean I've heard from republicans that even Sarah Palin worked hard to learn stuff. Obviously it didn't work for Trump but he never even tried to do it.

Bingo. I used to feel bad for McCain because of what Trump said about him not being a hero, but he let that slide because he's up for election and thought he'd need trumps endorsement to win his state.

Now trump won't endorse him and he'll likely lose his senate seat.

But even still, he's shown he values his political career more than standing up to trump about this.

To say we would never use them is stupid in the extreme. Iran won't hesitate to use them. ISIS would not hesitate to use them.
That's actually not what happened, at all.

Again this goes back to "Mutally Assured Destrction".

We were in an arms race with the USSR and It got to the point where the US and USSR had both amassed enough nuclear weapons that neither side would survive a nuclear attack in today's world.

This would be a great question to ask him about at the debates. Assuming he shows up.

I don't know whether Trump actually said that or not.

But this thread confirms everything I thought I knew about the Trump supporters. I will leave it at that.

Hilarious, but sad.

The benefit of using nuclear weapons vs conventional bombing is one does not need to occupy the ground after strike. It should be an option when dealing with non-nuclear armed adversaries.

Recall they were considered during Dien Bien Phu to assist the French out of debacle.

No need to read any further than the bolded part of your post. There are no "benefits" to using nuclear weapons. None. Their only value is as a deterrent. And the fact that Trump and his supporters don't know this is terrifying.
