Sadly that was a drop in the bucket as oppose to the flash flood that is the Khan response. Both are disgusting but i find the Khan comments and the Purple Star thing that followed repulsive and I had grandparents and great relatives in the two World Wars and Korea.
Given that Hillary is a proven liar and a crook people don't know where else to turn so they look to Trump's message and see that it's actually a very good looking plan.
I know I would have been hesitant to say I was a Trump supporter even to close friends up until a few weeks ago.
Also I'm hearing people speaking opening in public about supporting Trump. Even one guy at the restaurant was trying to be hushed by his friends before getting more fired up and saying he didn't care if people heard him.
This is in central Los Angeles - very liberal area.
We've got a long way to go to the Election and I suspect the momentum will continue to grow.
Parker, I'm going to try to be gentle:
You are wrong.
The SS Trumptanic hit an ice berg and it is sinking.
I have no malice towards you and recognize you have to put on a brave face by expressing your wishful thinking ... but you are wrong. The entire Republican Party is in panic mode. There's talk of replacing Trump with another GOP candidate. Trump is behind by double digits in many key states. My own Republican senator refuses to endorse him and boycotted the RNC. None of my Republican friends are defending him any more and now speak of supporting Gary Johnson. Do you think I am making this all up?

They can't. He is the head of the party. There is literally non mechanism in which to replace him.

One example of Trump momentum is in the North Carolina poll where he now holds the lead as well as holds over 30% of the black vote. According to the article the most support a GOP candidate has had with black voters there was in 1976 when it was 17%. Trump Over 30 Percent With Black Vote In North Carolina | The Daily Caller
The latest LA times national poll has him down by only 1/2 a point so don't count him out yet. I also suspect the debates will give him a boost.
In the meantime regardless of how my candidate is doing I will continue to cheer him on because clearly (in my mind anyways) he is the one who will help Americans the most.

hes not the head of the party, the RNC Chairman is.. he is the face right now, but thats not the same thing
