The Olympics might be a good thing for Trump. Gets him (possibly) off the news.

Remember after the Judge Curiel debacle, his numbers collapsed, but did gradually rise (slowly) and about 6 weeks of being out of the news, just before the convention, he was nearly tied with her. The same thing happened in late march after the KKK debacle and encouraging riots at his rallies, his numbers collapsed and he stayed off the news and his poll numbers rose by may.

He CAN get those numbers close (ish) again, certainly within 5 points, if he just manages to S.T.F.U as much as possible over the next 3 months, keep interviews limited etc.

But he has little room left, one more of these debacles and he's done. The debates are a problem as well as Clinton will likely win those.

15 points?

Take heart, Trumplings, this is probably an outlier - in reality, she's most likely only pounding Cheeto Jesus by 12 points or so!

Speak for yourself. Donald Trump has said many times "I love the polls"

I wonder if a Trump follower is going to post that Trump really meant that he loved people from Poland when he said "I love the polls".

After all, Trump did hire a bunch of illegal immigrant Poles to build Trump Tower. Then he stiffed them on their paychecks and they sued him, and won.

Hence their general silence. Whenever he is behind in the polls they vanish for the most part.

They rose because of the Clinton email issues and not because of that. If her numbers freeze at 6-8 points ahead by the end of the month then I don't see in any universe where he ends up winning. The issue is that Trump being Trump he will likely end up doing something just as boneheaded in another month or so.

Trump is not going to change. He's 70. No amount of interventions will change him. They would have to put on drugs and handcuff him to a teleprompter to keep on track.

He cannot help himself because of who he is.

Then come the debates. Trump will not be able to deal.
