I think he may be hinting at the Khan controversy when he mentioned personal pain. Whatever it may be, I think Trump is on the right track and we all make mistakes. Refreshing to see someone in politics admit they regret what they have said or done
Let's see how long Trump lasts reading the scripted Teleprompter, and not Ad Libbing insulting one group of people or another. My guess is no more than a week or two. His ego won't let him.
Now here is a rational post from an antiTrump. We disagree because he has my vote locked up but I'm repping you for being honest and straight. I wish we could convince you though, that woman is bad news man. Always a dark cloud around anything she gets involved in.
...
My thoughts exactly. A thinking honest anti trump person. I can respect that.
It's all good now. I am glad he asked forgiveness and said he was wrong hurting people with words. An act of humility by a man. His last several speeches were great, on point, on the issues, no negative words toward certain individuals.
I'm glad because I am for Trump/Pence 100%, I hope this continues.
I've noticed that too. The past 2 speeches he's given he has gone after the issues and started in on Hillary which is what he has needed to do instead of falling into stupid things for the media to have a field day with.
It also seems he is re-affirming the main reasons he wanted to run to begin with which is what so many liked about him.
So now we're all supposed to rally around Trump because he gave a half-assed apology for a year's worth of insults? No thanks.
And he also claimed that sometimes in the heat of debate people say things. He doesn't say them in the heat of debate. He says them morning, noon, and night when he could easily say nothing at all.
One speech (or even a week of good behavior) will not do anything. He's trying to undo months o' crazy, and he's too far behind in too many key states to get close to winning this easy.
If he stays smart and on message he can at least tighten things up enough to save some of the down ticket people.
What he needs is to keep this up for weeks AND have a major Hillary scandal to hit. Then he could have a shot. But it has to be a real scandal, not a Breibart crazy train conspiracy theory "scandal". Drop the stupid Hillary's health nonsense, and don't go for some Whitewater style obtuse shenanigans no one even understands.

If only there was someone whom voting for would guarantee neither Clinton nor Trump would be the next POTUS.
