I think that is true though Xers maybe more likely to vote. The issue is young adult voters normally don't vote. 2012 and more so 2008 were anomalies to the modern norm. It's typically as you said the boomers and rest of the silents (who aren't bed ridden.)

None of the 3rd parties have hit the critical 15% mark yet. Until that happens, whatever increases they all get are immaterial in November.

I'm not saying there aren't those who will go for a 3rd party; there just won't be enough of them to make any difference in this year's outcome.

Support is one thing, and votes are another. Both conservatives and liberals are claiming to go Libertarian this year, but in the end, I'm thinking most will return to their old voting habits.

Young adults are being signed up to vote for the first time in massive numbers by those groups that wish to legalize cannabis. Many states are having voter initiatives to make it legal for medical or "recreational" use. Because cannabis can give many longer, healthier and happier lives and legalize cannabis is #1 request coming in to White House, it just might make the voting results much less predictable than in past elections.

Gary Johnson isn't at all shy about saying he has been for cannabis legalization since 1999 when he was governor of New Mexico. Jill Stein says our right to medicine should include herbs. Dem's & Rep's represent the corporations, mostly, and people of all ages say they are tired of gov't by corporations. The 3rd parties aren't fond of foreign wars, either, for the purpose of regime change, which actually make us less safe.

The 3rd parties don't lie about what they'd like to accomplish, either. But too many older voters are hopelessly brainwashed, it seems. Does it make any sense that wars that have killed millions are safe enough, but cannabis isn't safe enough with 0 deaths and numerous health benefits? Most young people say that's nonsense, but older voters?
