Joseph Weichselbaum, Trump's friend, and owner of a New York City helicopter company, was also a twice convicted felon and up on charges (and convicted) of smuggling kilos of cocaine in from Colombia. Trump not only wrote a letter to the court saying Weichselbaum was "conscientious, forthright, and diligent" and "a credit to the community" but also set him up in a $7000/month condo in Manhattan while he awaited trial.

Another helicopter mob tie is "John Staluppi, a Colombo crime family member, was an owner of Dillinger Charter Services, which flew gamblers into Atlantic City on behalf of Trump and other casino licensees. As TSG reported last year, Staluppi also worked closely with the billionaire to create the Donald Trump signature series Cadillac limousine, which debuted in 1988.

Colombia please not Columbia.

I hate Trump but I'm pretty sure both Hillary and Trump kiss criminal's asses as long as they have money. That's how things roll in this planet. Both candidates are very corrupt.

A lot of rich and famous people do business with people with very questionable income sources. The average person is either unaware of that or doesn't believe it when they hear about it because places like Fox and CNN don't report those business deals. Well most of the time they are too busy figuring out who the Kardashians are dating.

There is a good reason why both Clinton and Trump's names where mentioned in the Panama Papers several times.

I had to work once with these type of people and I could not believe the amount of money that is laundered on a daily basis. The banks don't care, the FBI seems to care even less. Eventually they might make the banks pay a small penalty and keep 99% of the revenue they received from laundering that money. No one ever goes to jail, just like when the financial bailout happened. I'm talking about the big banks we all know, not some local credit union.

1987, boy someone is digging deep now! I'm currently reading the article to find out if Trump knew what the man did behind the scenes or just knew him as someone in business or something along those lines, looks per the article that the prosecutor seemed to think that those writing the letters were not aware of the activity:

Per http://www.thesmokinggun.com/documen...-dealer-173892 (Frankly, it appears to be a "trashy" publication anyway.)

"In a court filing that referred to the laudatory correspondence sent by Trump and other Weichselbaum cronies, a federal prosecutor mocked the letters. Weichselbaum, the government lawyer wrote, used his friends to vouch for his redeeming qualities and claim that his criminal activities were a one-time aberration and “totally out of his character.” These friends, prosecutor Ann Marie Tracey sneered, apparently were “unaware of defendant’s previous convictions and his extensive drug dealings.” Weichselbaum, the prosecutor noted in another filing, “was a felon even before becoming a drug dealer.”

So, per that from the article ^^^, where the proof that Trump knew what the man did? You know, a lot of people commit crimes right under people's noses, I would think someone supporting Hillary wouldn't need to be told that.

Is Trump responsible for the actions of people who he knows? I really don't see the issue. Is this man in the article going to be on Trump's staff?

I am sorry, I am at a loss to why this is supposed to be a deal breaker or something.

Geesh, it isn't like Trump is a part of a crime family like his competition-not.

You constantly make up nonsense about the Clintons and anyone the knew from the 70's and 80's

Save us the fake outrage unless you start writing more balanced posts which I am sure it will never happen. You are one the most biased and untruthful posters in this forum who even makes up crap like Hillary is a Lesbian and watched Bill Clinton hold orgies at the white house (of course without any proof) so save us the higher than thou "I need proof" attitude.

If you gonna be absurd, fine but at least try not to be a hypocrite

Oh, being an adulterer doesn't disqualify him, so many other things do. First of all, he appears to have the symptoms of Parkinson's although I have heard a theory that his ghostly look is attributed to HIV having been a loose in his sexual conquests over the years. We have seen how he is just unsteady when speaking. Does anyone know if he has dealt with his sexual addiction? He needs to be put out to pasture.

Well, that several other incidents and scandals. They are said to have an open marriage.

I read they had an open marriage. I think as long as she didn't have to "service" Bill that she didn't care.

Another shiny button, one sided thread that neglects the support of both Clinton and Obama who together have pardoned more criminals than all the other presidents combined the last 50 years.
On top of that they, along with crooked Hillary's support import terrorist and /or release them to go back to the battlefield and continue killing Americans.

I just love it when you dems try to make a big deal out of something Trump did, and the Clintons are guilty of do much more of it.

Bill Clinton gave pardons to people who were donating money to the Clintons (including money for Hillary's senate run) as well as to those that hired Hillary's brother for absorbance fees, for legal services.

Hillary publicly defended the pardons.

Yep, the Clintons are good people, and would never get involved with drug dealers.

some of the many harcore criminals that got a pardon for Bill.

Good friend of Bill's. Dan Lasater for cocaine trafficking.

Carlos Vignali had his sentence for cocaine trafficking commuted, after serving 6 of 15 years in federal prison.

Other hardcore criminals Bill gave pardon to,

11 terrorist

Edwin Cortes, sentenced to 35 years in prison.
Elizam Escobar, sentenced to 60 years in prison.
Ricardo Jimenez, sentenced to 90 years in prison.
Adolfo Matos, sentenced to 70 years in prison.
Dylcia Noemi Pagan, sentenced to 55 years in prison.
Alicia RodrĂguez, sentenced to 55 years in prison.
Ida Luz Rodriguez, sentenced to 75 years in prison.
Luis Rosa, sentenced to 75 years in prison.
Carmen Valentin, sentenced to 90 years in prison.
Alberto Rodriguez, sentenced to 35 years in prison.
Alejandrina Torres, sentenced to 35 years in prison.

Peter MacDonald had been sentenced to 14 years at a Federal Prison in Texas for fraud, extortion, inciting riots, bribery, and corruption

Almon Glenn Braswell was pardoned of his 1983 mail fraud and perjury convictions. In 1998 he was under federal investigation for money laundering and tax evasion charges. Braswell and Carlos Vignali each paid approximately $200,000 to Hillary Clinton's brother, Hugh Rodham, to represent their respective cases for clemency. Hugh Rodham returned the payments after they were disclosed to the public. Braswell would later invoke the Fifth Amendment at a Senate Committee hearing in 2001, when questioned about allegations of his having systematically defrauded senior citizens of millions of dollars.

Mel Reynolds, a Democratic Congressman from Illinois, was convicted of bank fraud, 12 counts of sexual assault, obstruction of justice, and solicitation of child pornography. His sentence was commuted on the bank fraud charge and he was allowed to serve the final months under the auspices of a halfway house. Reynolds had served his entire sentence on child sex abuse charges before the commutation of the later convictions.

Susan McDougal, who had already completed her sentence, was pardoned for her role in the Whitewater scandal. McDougal had served the maximum possible 18 months, including eight in solitary confinement, on contempt charges for refusing to testify about Clinton's role.

Marc Rich, a fugitive who had fled the U.S. during his prosecution, was residing in Switzerland. Rich owed $48 million in taxes and was charged with 51 counts of tax fraud, was pardoned of tax evasion. He was required to pay a $1 million fine and waive any use of the pardon as a defense against any future civil charges that were filed against him in the same case. Critics complained that Denise Eisenberg Rich, his former wife, had made substantial donations to both the Clinton library and to Mrs. Clinton's senate campaign. According to Paul Volcker's independent investigation of Iraqi Oil-for-Food kickback schemes, Marc Rich was a middleman for several suspect Iraqi oil deals involving over 4 million barrels (640,000 m3) of oil. Longtime Clinton supporters and Democratic leaders such as former President Jimmy Carter, James Carville and Terry McAuliffe, were all critical of the Clinton pardon. Carter said the pardons were "disgraceful."

Roger Clinton, the president's half-brother, was pardoned for drug charges after having served the entire sentence more than a decade earlier. Roger Clinton would be charged with drunk driving and disorderly conduct in an unrelated incident within a year of the pardon.[28] He was also briefly alleged to have been utilized in lobbying for the Braswell pardon, among others. However, no wrongdoing was uncovered.

I thought it was an odd comment about the "Cadillac" also and didn't really get that.

Well, this is definitely more "compelling" than the article that condemned him for throwing spitballs in grade school!
