Actually, I think they will get along really well. Both have similar slime factors. Pure speculation, but I would not be surprised if some backroom deal or future alliance was struck between them. Any dollar fluttering in the breeze is a good dollar to Trump. Just take a look back at the man's Mob connections. With the huge flow of narco dollars from Mexico you know the "friend of the common man" is surely looking to wet his beak.

Actually.....that charity does things like provide hearing aids for the hard-of- hearing and antiretroviral drugs for people with HIV/AIDS.

It does not provide funds to protect a guy who paints himself orange.

I can see it now:

"Hey, ola you mexicans"

"I'm just here to tell you, we're going to make your side of the wall great!"

"It's going have a nice adobe finish, maybe we'll paint on some of those aztek designs you guys like"

"Now if you'll excuse me, I gotta go talk with your president"

"Ola Mr. President of Mexico, what's your name, Juan, Pedro, Pablo, whatever"

"Hey, I'm here to make a deal with you Juan"

"To help pay for this nice wall, we're making deals with some chains to open franchises built right into the wall"

"Yeah, top end places like Taco Bell, Chipotle's, Moe's, On The Border"

"You know Pedro, this could be a good deal for you, big chance for some jobs here"

"I don't have any problem with Mexicans serving up grub, just don't get cozy on our side of the wall, capisch?"

"Think that over Pedro, can't shake on this for a couple more months, after I take over"

"If you're ever in Washington, check over your shoulder, might be a INS agent on your tail"

"LOL, just kidding buddy"

You are only talking about the 10 % of funds raised. She still has 90 % to use as her slush fund and what better use of an orange than to squeeze it and get the news headlines and a thrill up her leg.

Great thread and we are going to be able to comment right here on the joint statement by Trump and the Mexican president.

Fat chance.

Nieto will ask Trump where, exactly he plans to put his wall. Then remind Trump that the majority of the American Mexican border line is located exactly in the center of the Rio Grande River. He will then tell Trump that he will not permit one brick of that wall on Mexican Territory. Finally he will encourage Trump to build the wall completely on the American side of the river, thereby ceding the entire 1700 mile stretch of the Rio Grande river and it's precious water to the nation of Mexico.
Upon completion of the wall, ex-Texas agribusiness farmers and ranchers will have a party for Trump. first prize will be a rope with a loop on one end.

At this writing the press conference is going on. 1st take: I sure hope Pena Nieto's comments are something of a result of going through translation, otherwise, I think we've found the Mexican version of Sarah Palin Word Salad.
[EDIT: 2nd take: The Mexican television pool coverage reminds me of my first TV directing class... 10 seconds CAM1... 10 seconds CAM2... 10 seconds CAM3.... whether the cameras needed to be switched or not. God we were awful that first days
