A total of 88 retired U.S. generals and admirals threw their support behind Mr. Trump

Donald Trump touts support from 88 retired military members - Washington Times

“As retired senior leaders of America’s military, we believe that such a change can only be made by someone who has not been deeply involved with, and substantially responsible for, the hollowing out of our military and the burgeoning threats facing our country around the world,”

Trump offers the American people an “urgently needed opportunity” to make a “long-overdue course correction in our national security posture and policy.”

After the disastrous way Obama treated the military crooked Hillary is simply unacceptable. Her poor judgement, total failures while SOS, and the careless way she has treated national security proves she is incompetent at best.

NBC News Presents the First-Ever Commander-in-Chief Forum - NBC News

Crooked Hillary will go into the commander chief forum on rubber leg street with no credibility as a leader.

Not important in my view unless there is someone on the list that is prominent that I don't recognize

There are what, probably hundreds, maybe even thousands of retired generals and admirals currently.
If one of them came out and said something dramatic like, we let ISIS happen, or Benghazi was about arms transfer, that person's endorsement matters.

Thumbs up Donald Trump Is Endorsed by Nearly 90 Military Figures

“As retired senior leaders of America’s military, we believe that such a change can only be made by someone who has not been deeply involved with, and substantially responsible for, the hollowing out of our military and the burgeoning threats facing our country around the world,” the generals and admirals write. “For this reason, we support Donald Trump’s candidacy to be our next commander in chief.”

In the letter, the group expresses concern that the government will persist “in the practices that have brought us to this present pass” after a series of budget cuts.

“For this reason, we support Donald Trump and his commitment to rebuild our military, to secure our borders, to defeat our Islamic supremacist adversaries and restore law and order domestically,” they write. “We urge our fellow Americans to do the same.”

At least they have the good sense to know Hillary will just be Obama #2, where the Islamist terrorists are concerned!

Awesome. I rather take the military man's opinion of national defense issues than a politicians which is what the 50 morons who vowed to not vote for Trump were.

If a person puts enough filters on he might see unicorns pulling a cart of one armed monkeys and interpret it as a sign of national security.

As stated by these military leaders.
For the past eight years, America’s armed forces have been subjected to a series of ill-considered and debilitating budget cuts, policy choices and combat operations that have left the superb men and women in uniform less capable of performing their vital missions in the future than we require them to be.

It is a general statement on readiness and a need for change. Been dealing with the same issue starting with Geo. Washington when he was a general. If supporting the men and women in uniform is important then seeing that they have what they need to make them effective seems a reasonable consideration.

They are entitled to their opinions. Most served during the Clinton years and remember how Military personnel were treated in the White House.
How many military careers were ended by the Clinton admin for fraternizing? All while the Commander and Chief was doing it?
Budget cuts and added missions.
Traditions the Clinton disagreed with were ended. Called hazing. Most of us who went through such ceremonies remember them fondly.

Or, maybe they have the non-sense to buy into Donny's BS that he knows more about ISIS than the generals do.

IF Donny really does know more about ISIS than the generals, WHY should we believe them about anything else? And, IF Donny doesn't know more about ISIS than the generals as he has claimed, WHY should we believe anything else he says?
