One of the more eye opening trends in this election is the relationship between states that solidly support Trump or Clinton and the education levels or rank of that state. Lowest education rankings support Trump. Highest education ranking support Clinton. It is a direct correlation.

Here's a list of the 15 states most solidly behind Trump (in order of support) and their education rank (out of 50).

1) Wyoming 38th
2) North Dakota 48th
3) West Virginia 49th

Not surprising.

The poor, uneducated and working class have all suffered under Obama and will continue to suffer with Clinton. So they want to vote for someone to help them.

Support for Trump from the other states includes many people (like myself) who are doing fine under Obama but want to help the less fortunate in the country build better lives for themselves and prosper again.

Noble of you to want to help the less fortunate but I'm baffled as to how a Trump presidency would help exactly.

Not surprised by this OP. Many of these states are in bad shape. They've kinda been left behind....

This actually has little relevance to the electorate as a whole as unlike 100 years ago - youths graduate school / college and go to where the jobs and money are. Young people leave NY in droves after graduation. More than 50% of my son's graduating class has left the state as there were either no jobs or better opportunities elsewhere.

It's not surprising to me either but it's a lot more clear cut than I would have thought. Trump loves the under-educated he told us that a while back. After seeing this demographic I understand that statement. That portion of the electorate is his wheelhouse. Low information = easily fooled.

It's part of his core policies - I'm surprised you're still baffled?

1. Trade Agreements - Trump says absolutely NO to TPP. It is widely accepted that NAFTA has been bad for American manufacturing and a huge job killer. TPP will be more. On top of that he will re-negotiate current trade deals to give American's an edge again.

2. Illegal Immigration - they are driving down wages among the low income jobs and also undercutting American small business owners.

THAT portion? I hope it doesn't rain soon, or some of you may drown, what with your noses so high in the air.

You think the guy who outsources manufacturing and who hires foreign workers over Americans is going to do all of this? LOL

The liberal, socialist, globalist professors that dominate education apparently are good at indoctrination. Over exposure produces mindless drones who have learned what to think and not how to think. No wonder they run up debt they can't pay flipping burgers.
