Do you think living on $650 a month is a joke? Try being blind and disabled and living on it and tell us if you think the GOP agenda of cutting benefits further is the right thing to do. This is the REALITY for millions of people. I support big increases for the most vulnerable among us. The fact that you refuse to even acknowledge it says it all, instead trying to divert attention towards "slugs" and "parasites". I think you would sing another tune if YOU happened to become blind or disabled.

The way you talk the government is doing a great job and we need more of it but now you say they aren't. If big government is what you want, this is what you'll get. They are no more interested in the little people than you are. Wait until the middle class become elderly and they find out exactly how little the government gives a damn about them when they are just above the income limit to qualify for help.

Push granny over the cliff. With ALLL that money us taxpayers pay government is doing a p*ss poor job of taking care of helping our elderly and disabled. To think bigger government will make it better is living the liberal utopian dream.

I think it's interesting that you think liberals don't understand how the world works when your OP was about how lower corporate taxes would somehow translate to more money for the working class. Companies have been making record profits and none of that has trickled down. At one fortune 500 company the executives saw a 25% increase in their bonuses this year due to the business doing well. They then decided that the executives should not take a cost of living increase so that the "other folks" could increase their yearly raises from 3% to 4%. So the average worker saw a $500-1000 increase in their raise and the executives saw a $15K-25K increase in their bonus.

Taxes are not killing small businesses, big businesses do. They either buy them out (and then fire the employees because of redundancies) or sell products for less because economies of scale allow them to survive on smaller profit margins. You think cutting corporate taxes will make that better?

Obama proved that higher taxes DIDN'T translate into more money for the middle class. Damn, what's it take for you people to wake up from your nonsense.

Oh and taxes ARE killing small business but its obviously too complicated for you to understand being that you are a small business owner and all <sarcasm>

If you think you know so much why don't you start and run your own business and get back to me when you have a little experience dealing with the liberal disastrous policies. Oh that's right, you think you know everything but never did any of it. Go figure.

Taxes that destroy jobs, the war on drugs, housing market, healthcare insurance; you name it and Democrats have broken it. And now they're here to save you from their destruction! ba ha ha ha. What a joke!

The difference between the wealth of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton is in how they amassed their fortunes. There are two ways to make money; trade or steal. Trump became a billionaire by building, while the Clintons amassed their wealth shaking down builders by selling power and favors. The Clintons justify their stealing by saying there is corruption on both sides by builders who seek their favors. But just because builders must work within the corrupt system that the Clintons structured doesn’t make them as corrupt.

Understanding this is the beginning of wisdom, and recognizing those who would tear down the corrupt rather than being corrupt is the culmination of wisdom.

Democrats like the Clintons have proven they only work for themselves and acquiring their own wealth at the expense of the people. Those who back Hillary and the Democrats are investing in their corruption.

And George Bush proved that tax cuts and tax credits (remember that extra $800 we all got) don't translate to more money for the middle class.

Assumptions are never becoming of a person. You honestly have no clue what I do and do not know about small business. As someone who has worked for 2 small business owners (who were also friends) and was offered the opportunity to buy into one of them, I understand more than you think. Big companies do more to destroy small businesses than the government does. If lower taxes will give small business more revenue it will also give big businesses more revenue...to buyout more companies and take lower profit margins.

But if you really want your points to be taken seriously you should probably try making an actual point....without the sarcasm.

I dont think $650 a month for the blind and disabled is acceptable. We are not providing the blind and disabled with the proper income support they deserve. But you and the GOP want to cut benefits further. This is callous and unconscionable. SSI and Social security are the only lifelines for tens of millions of disabled, blind and elderly in this country. Its still pitifully low as massive efforts from the donor class to eliminate it completely is getting some support from members of the 99% and full support from huge numbers of their puppets in Congress. For the billionaire class who fund elections, support for the disabled and the elderly is NOT prioritized at all. To not support an increase in public support for the disabled and the blind is to be an enemy of the blind and the disabled.
