Other than the Purple Heart the remainder is fluff. Bronze star has to be a V for combat award. Our modern military have more useless medals then Herman Goring. We he did earn his Blue Max.

Seems to be a common thread throughout history that retired generals become peevish in their comments of others. Perhaps the oppty. to finally express themselves after so many years of regimentation.
