The blue collar middle class has largely disappeared, because of treaties like NAFTA and others.

Blue collars could earn a middle class living again, if jobs in resource extraction and manufacturing came back to America.

Trump wants bring this type of job back to the U.S. One way to do this is to lower corporate tax rates, which would provide an economic incentive. Another way is to reinstitute a tariff system, which is another way of providing the incentive.

Restoring an economy like we had in the 1950's isn't hard at all. All that needs to be done is to persuade enough people in the working class that it's in their best interest to vote for it.
For the most part those blue collar factory jobs are gone and no matter what Trump says they arent coming back, todays American worker has to adapt to a new reality of what jobs are available and train in those fields of need.
Trump is good at throwing out meaningless rhetoric like I'm going to bring all the jobs back, really? and what jobs would those be? i'm going to get rid of the illegal immigrants, really? and you think a wall will solve the problem?,get rid of Muslims and ISIS at the same time sure you will, bomb the hell out of them? I cant believe people are falling for this vacuous nonsense.

Agreed. First step to solving the problem is admitting it exists. Trump (and his supporters, especially those who are in a better position economically) is doing those blue collar workers huge disservice by feeding them false hope. While they listen to him, the world is passing them by, and they are left even further behind.
