Latest on the Trump Foundation saga.

Seems it wasn't certified to accept more than $25,000 in funds from other people.

"it could be ordered to cease fundraising activities, or even to refund the money it has raised."

Given the cool relationship with NY AG it is likely Trump may have to refund millions.

That's rich consider that the very same claim has been made about the Clinton Foundation.

We're seeing a trend, the Clintons are accusing Trump of what they themselves are guilty of doing.

The Clintons never fail to deliver utter hypocrisy.

There is a big difference between a legal charity that provides charity,

and a charity now found to have no certification that spends money to enrich Trump.

Yes, the Clinton Foundation has been seen as a possible way to buy influence. However, the McDonnell ruling deemed it fully legal.

Nothing about the Trump Foundation is legal.

Clinton Foundation is NO charity.. And there is no requirement to donate to ones own charity, so there is nothing about Trump not making a donation, making it not legal.

Keywords your missing, SOLICIT more than $25,000 does not mean it cant accept more..
and PUBLIC donations, vs private..

I'm willing to bet Trumps lawyers know more about the law than you.

If Trump's lawyers make sure everything he does is legal, why headings like this..?

Trump's Foundation didn't get certification.

The above article includes the choice word "solicited".

There are claims that the Clinton Foundation has not filed the paperwork to take donations of $25k either.

I was unable to find a newspaper article on news.google.com

Would like to read an authoritative article backed with by reporter.

......

I was able to find a source to read State of New York law.

Question: How is it possible for people to send money to the Trump Foundation unless they solicited for money in the first place?

Charles Ortel

The Clinton Foundation has never been validly authorized to pursue tax-exempt purposes other than as a presidential archive and research facility based in Little Rock, Arkansas.

ALSO:

" This week, Farenthold dropped yet another bombshell, disclosing that the Trump Foundation collected $2.3 million from companies that actually owed money to Trump himself for goods or services. If Trump specifically directed the companies to pay the money to the foundation, instead of into his business accounts, he would owe income taxes on it. That’s because tax laws bar the diversion of money that should be taxed into a nonprofit entity."

Unlike the Trump Foundation, the Clinton Foundation has been under a microscope since June 2015.

Cite: https://www.philanthropy.com/article...and-the/230745

Had anything been illegal, it would have been found.

Trump's Foundation is getting the microscope treatment owing to mainly the efforts of one reporter, David Farenthold.

Further it wasn't until the Pam Bondi bombshell that the New York AG decided to formally look at it.

Again nothing but conjecture about Clinton Foundation, whereas every stone unturned in Trump Foundation finds illegal activity.

Trump has already been fined once by IRS for making that political contribution via his foundation.
