This is on them, indeed.

Thanks for posting that clip. John Oliver gets to the core of things, tout de suite.

I'm really getting sick of the Democrats and their endless gloating and phony sanctimony.

It's true that Trump is scum and that Republicans were idiots for ever associating themselves with him. However, so much has been leveled at the Clintons, and liberals have always made excuses for them. I know that Democrats will respond by saying that none of the accusations against the Clintons have ever been conclusively proven (apart from the fact that Bill Clinton perjured himself, which in and of itself merited his removal from office). So--for the moment--forget about the Clintons, and remember that Ted Kennedy KILLED his mistress. In spite of Kennedy's unforgivable behavior, Democrats continued to embrace him, and some on the left consider him to be among the greatest Senators of all-time.

So unless any liberal out there thinks/thought that Ted Kennedy should have been forced out of office and jailed for his behavior, you have NO RIGHT to try and smear the entire GOP with Trump's actions. Remember that there was significant resistance against Trump from many Republicans. By contrast, Ted Kennedy--who was a walking, talking piece of $hit (and who makes Trump look like a saint in comparison)--has long been among the most beloved figures in the Democratic Party.

Wow..A Chappaquiddick reference--blast from the past// Yeah, Teddy got off lightly that time--but he did not 'Kill' her..it was an accident--I agree his behavior led to her death--and I would have given him about 5 years in prison--and I don't smear the Republicans with Trump..but he was 'your' boy--and you could have nominated Kasich, but chose to play with fire with your long-standing flirtation with the fringe elements in your party..until you woke up with the tail wagging the dog. Now it's up to you to take your party back..if you can.

So vote for scummy Trump. Free country.

Ted Kennedy--really? Hey--how about that Nixon guy?

This is the way to get that millennial vote.

And now can we please move on to the 21st century?

Did Nixon ever kill anyone?

You obviously must be unfamiliar with my posts, because I am one of the most anti-Trump Republicans on this board and have never suggested that anybody vote for him.

Not to quibble, but nixon was president during the Vietnam War... so, yeah, if bush 1 & 2 and b. clinton and obama and reagan all killed people, then, nixon also killed people.

Don't know about others, but I have not tried to smear the entire GOP for trump's actions. I have, tho, opined that the GOP is responsible for creating the conditions in which trump was able to use the GOP to attain the nomination with less than 50% of the primary votes, and that the GOP is going to suffer what is probably irreparable damage because of this election cycle.

I didn't say you were 'for' Trump. Just meant you can vote for whoever you want.

And, frankly--that Nixon was a paranoid, conspiracy laden, sleazeball criminal. Who knows?
