New York City's comptroller has found no evidence that Donald Trump gave $10,000 to a fund for 9/11 victims after the terror attack, and concluded that the GOP nominee "may have lied" about making a donation.
The office of Comptroller Scott Stringer conducted a review of donation records to the Twin Towers Fund and the New York City Public/Private Initiatives, Inc., to see if Trump had donated after the 9/11 attacks.
"Contrary to Donald Trump's claims, the Comptroller's Office found no evidence of a donation by Mr. Trump in the year following the attacks," according to an "Information Sheet on 9/11 Donation Review" provided to NBC News on Friday that summarizes the office's findings.
Remember all the stories from contractors about Trump stiffing them and not pay? Well, seems like he also stiffed the 9/11 victims fund after making the pledge to donate 10k.
"May have lied" means nothing more than all the "alleged" or "might have" or "could have" or "probably would have" or "unidentified sources say"...............
It is pathetic isn't it, and yet, like their candidate, they just don't get it! They never seem to feel shame or embarrassment despite how the situation just screams for those emotions!

I am sure that Trump has a record of it. He probably took it off on his taxes.
Now we know why he won't release his tax returns...
If he claimed it w/o actually giving the money--tax fraud...
If he DIDN'T donate and didn't claim it on the return then that is evidence he lied as well...
The idea that the Republican Party which has crucified people for a lack of patriotism real or imagined would tacitly condone and still continue to support a narcissistic egoist like Trump who advocated for Russian hackers to interfere in ANY American company or political group's computer security even the DNC or a Clinton supporter should sicken every American...
The idea that he has lied about contributing to the 9/11 fund in order to gain the support of patriotic Americans, that while bragging about his wealth and generosity to gain support of patriotic Americans and his fellow New Yorkers he really was stiffing them like he initially did the Veterans organization after that campaign rally--see a reporter checked to see if that money made it to the veterans' group and found it didn't...so when Trump was called out, he had to cough up...is just another example that the only one Trump cares about is himself.
Warren Buffet's tax return which he released to prove Trump lied about his tax deductions showed that Buffett actually donated MORE money than he could benefit from as a deduction.
Trump still has not released his returns...don't hold your breath...he never will.
And he an't show the cancelled chek for the 9/11 donation either...
And get real...this is a man worth BILLIONS according to him and he gave 10K??
10K is chump change to a billionaire...
and I am thinking specifically about John Kerry in the campaign against Bush when numerous groups lied about Kerry's military service and his anti-war motivations to smear him...

That disgusting display at the debate is truly the crudest spectacle ever dumped upon the American public during a presidential election. And he will go even lower. I'm quite sure.

Maybe if Trump includes tips and steak dinners to pretty Women in short skirts he might approach that $10,000 donation.
