So basically one out of three pro-Trump supporters on this forum are paid trolls.

I wonder which ones are paid Russian trolls, I have a good idea which ones they are.
.
I know at least one of them. I saw an article on this some time ago and it was interesting.

... Because you know, using facts and sources is considered "fail to deliver a crazy conspiracy theory" in the right-wing's book.

Their idea of a solid piece of evidence is something that has no basis in fact.
.
Well, you failed to quote InfoWars or the Daily Fail so . . .

Why can't there be both?

I don't think you are wrong. I noticed it a LONG time ago in two posters; one of which is no longer here.

In recent years, we're seeing simultaneously the rise of social media, and the vilification of traditional (professional) media. Large swaths of the population actively condemn the "mainstream media" as incorrigibly biased and corrupt, turning to Facebook and Twitter for their "news". Trolls or otherwise, we have mongering of propaganda in a self-sustaining cycle, without access to journalistic vetting or any pretence of professionalism. Let's look beyond this election cycle, or even politics. What do we see? If Facebook and Twitter replace the newspapers and the nightly news, we'll have sensational and inflammatory waves of rumor, from impending asteroid impact to disease-epidemics to violence in our midst, when in actuality no such thing is afoot. We'll have a patchwork of fiefdoms, instead of a buoyant national discourse. Pretty soon, nobody will believe the nightly weather-report, or the traffic-report, or bulletins about highway construction. Every tribe of Twitter-followers will have their own rendition of the local weather… as if the outside temperature and humidity were somehow a matter of opinion!

We should all be getting our news from multiple sources and not just relying on one.

It is getting to the point where even the weatherman is part of a MSM Conspiracy.

Now we know why grammar and spelling are problematic in many pro-trump posts.

It also could explain why the Right-Wing is so pro-Russia and worship Putin.

You have American conservatives who love Putin to begin with, mix with the Russian trolls who are obviously pro-Putin, the result is a Right-Wing party that loves Russia more than America.

But the oddity is that the "traditional" right wing (with philosophical underpinnings by Jean Kirkpatrick, Zbigniew Brzezinski, George Will and the like) was vehemently anti-USSR and by extension anti-Russia. What happened? Why is it, that the Democrats are now the hardline anti-Soviet party? Have we gone full circle, to Harry Truman?
