Election is over, HRC has won. Lets start the Republican autopsy now. I think I would have voted for Kassich as a democrat. HRC would have beaten Cruz too. So which of the conservatives do you think would have beaten HRC.

I don't think anyone in the primaries stood a chance. Romney or Ryan could have won had they been the nominee.

In all honesty, probably Cruz.

Possibly Chris Christie. He was far enough to the center and a pragmatist to attract more Centrists and Democrats who were displeased with Clinton (similar to the so called Reagan Democrats from a previous generation). Republicans, even hard core right wing ones, would still regard Christie as a far better choice than Clinton in their view.

Unlike Cruz whose mass popularity would be more limited to far right wing voters in places like rural Texas and Mississippi in a general election. I sure don't see liberal Democrats or even Centrists voting for Cruz.

Romney should have ran this time. I do not like him, but he is better than these two.

I wish Biden would have ran, I will be forever convinced Hillary cut some deal for him when he finishes, like making some good money as a consultant.

I would really like to see that due to Trump, the religious right vacates the Republican party and goes to the Democrats.

I would probably vote for Kasich instead of Clinton had he won the primary.
