My biggest hope that my vote was effective today was that we get rid of the idiot who is the mayor of my tiny little town.

I am also curious as to whether a larger percentage of people vote for non-Dem/Rep candidates or write-ins than previously. Looking for signs of hope for more viable parties someday.

Well, if it makes you feel better, there was no line where I vote.

Why? A lot of people assume that Johnson voters would have voted Trump and Stein voters would have voted Clinton. I don't think that's usually the case though. If not for a third choice, one of my kids would not have voted. He voted for Johnson and that's okay, I had him over for his favorite dinner. Even though I voted for Trump, I celebrated that he exercised his right to vote.

Even though "Donald J. Trump" was printed on my ballot, I still wrote him in. I wanted to fully enjoy the experience of voting for him.

Clinton will probably win anyways, so you didn't need my vote.
Whoops.
