You mean all the pandering to blacks didn't work? Lol.
A lot of Black hated both of the candidates so they felt like voting was a waste of time. They will be in for a real shock when race relations go back to like the late 1950s

Race relations have been regressing back with Black lives matter, bias media coverage

I think race relations have suffered a lot under Obama. I expected just the opposite.
Younger people are more idealistic and do not tolerate corruption and dishonesty and to younger people Hillary represents everything that is wrong with the political system.
Thanks to democrats who voted for Hillary in the primaries we now have president Trump who would have never beaten Bernie.
Exit polls show that 54% of voters 18-29 voted for Hillary and 50% of voters 30-44 supported her. Why such a drop from Obama's dominance with this demographic? This is especially of not with the 30-44 cohort as most of them were in the 18-29 cohort in 2008 when they overwhelmingly supported Obama. Thoughts?
As much as I dislike Trump, I dislike Clinton even more. So, despite being progressive myself, I am not unhappy Trump won.
There is something phony and fake about Clinton and young people sense that easily. Trump is a moron, but at least he doesn't try to hide it.
Obama was younger when he was first elected, he was kind of hip and cool, while Clinton is a cold bureaucrat that should be in a retirement home by now.
Clinton is a very ambitious person, and I am happy she has missed her only real chance in life to become president.

Because they've seen that during the 8 years of an Obama presidency, their parents have lost ground, have to struggle more, and they, themselves, the youth voter demographic, is still either unemployed or underemployed.

I'm 33, on the fringes of youth. I started voting Democrat to protest the Iraq War, why would I vote for a candidate who vote for the war and as Sec of State destabilized countries like Libya?
