Exit polls show that 54% of voters 18-29 voted for Hillary and 50% of voters 30-44 supported her. Why such a drop from Obama's dominance with this demographic? This is especially of not with the 30-44 cohort as most of them were in the 18-29 cohort in 2008 when they overwhelmingly supported Obama. Thoughts?

She didn't beat Obama, there's your reason.

Obama wasn't going against an aggressive opponent.

Hillary barely beat Bernie. The Jay-z, Beyoncé, J-Lo, Miley Cyrus backing was so cringey.

I did see some young voters at the polls today, early 20 somethings. Mostly adult and middle aged people. Some elderly.

Hillary is a weak candidate with a lot of baggage and about 50% of the country literally wouldn't pee on her if she was on fire. That is a big reason why.

Now, I did expect her to win. Not looking like that is going to happen but it isn't super surprising that turn out for her was low. We just got done with 8 years, Hillary is a fairly weak candidate, has a lot of bagage and you know full and well the independents that hate her weren't going there. She needed a full blow turn out from the blacks and she didn't really get it. Throw in some issues with independents and boom.
