And we know what happened. Could be ugly.

I think cooler heads will prevail. Governance is not Trump's strong suit and there are congressional elections in 2018. Centrists will need to step up. The popular vote sends a message of caution.

Obamacare can't be repealed without a viable replacement. There are other issues in the same situation.

Obamacare repeal?

Rounding up the Mexicans and building the wall?

Censoring the media?

America pulling out of pretty much all trade deals and international involvement other than with Russia?
I'm 100% ready to wait and see when that wall will go up with Mexico paying for it, for him to slow down the number of Muslim immigrants coming to the US and to see how he will defeat ISIS swiftly and decisively as he promised among all the other things he said he would do. Lets go Trump! Lets see you make all the things you promised come true especially when you have all the backing with you now!

Good for him. I'm sure that wall he promised will pop up no no time.

I still hate Trump. I think he'll ultimately surprise you, and not in a good way.

But I never liked either. I thought this election was like choosing between heart attack vs. cancer.

So what else am I gonna do? Rend my garments and strew ashes on my head Bible-style? I'm along for the ride along with everyone else.

2009 - House 257 (D) to 178 (R), Senate 55 (D) plus 2 (I) and 2 (other D - it's complicated) to 41 (R)

2017 - House 238 (R) to 195 (D), Senate 52 (R) to 48 (D)

The Republicans will have fewer numbers than that. the 2016 numbers are based on the NYT estimates, using the lower numbers for all.

Boy. People just believe anything if it's on the internet. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United...ol_of_Congress

What about all those years under George Bush? 6 years of total disaster?
