Her husband cut welfare while he was in office.

It meant they cannot keep poping them out and getting paid for it

If I recall, it was called "time limits"

I don't know if it was ever re-pealed

Hate to break it to you but food stamps are used more in red states. End it. We aren't using it. Trump supporters are.

We want to take away a means of food from poor people?

Instead we need to focus on Corporate welfare.

That will save us a bundle

California is a huge state. The percentage of food stamp recipients is not high here when compared to other states

Really? Could you show the data? Because California contributes more in taxes than they get back. That means red states take California money. Make each state's contribution to the country equal. We blue states are tired of subsidizing red states. My blue state is another one giving to red states. Let's tell the red states, this is all you get and not a penny more.

Seacove is right most of the welfare goes to the red states. Next, it will be medicare and social security. That's what they want and now with all republicans running the show they can do it. That will shock a lot of elderly trump voters..

Trump mentioned Health Savings Accounts and Ben Carson eventually ended up backing Trump if I recall.
Ben Carson feels each person would do well to have a set amount of $$ put into a HSA to be used. That is one aspect of Trump I sure hope goes thru. Wisconsin does it with one of their Medicare Plan choices, it is an HSA. Someone named Ariadne in the Health Insurance forum talks about it alot.
