I just feel you could make it work. If California, Oregon, Washington, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, and the entire Northwest wanted to succeed and join Canada, you actually would have an intact and connected nation.

While Michigan and Wisconsin were a shocker this election, they really are blue states for the most part as is Pennsylvania. Of course there are always off years, and it looks like this was one of them.

Hot air that is all. California has no army.If such a motion were to pass, the US Army will intervene, then all the liberals in government would be removed and barred from office for life. How many of those liberals are ready to die like the separatist in the civil war? I bet most have never fired a gun in their life.

Every Southern California county except Kern voted for Hillary Clinton. The Inland Empire, Orange County, San Diego, Ventura, Santa Barbara-all historically conservative strongholds, went for Hillary.

I would love to see California lose all federal funding.

Let's be real here, what is more powerful economically, a combo of California, New York, Massachusetts, Washington, Illinois, and Minnesota or a combo of Texas, Georgia, Louisana, South Carolina, Arizona, and Utah?

The answer is clear on that one.
You realize that a very large reason for the coastal states all being so wealthy is because they all have large ports that are shipping the goods into and out for the rest of the country. Do you think that wealth remains if California leaves the country? Or do you think that stuff is either rerouted to other US ports or through Mexico where it will be cheaper?

Just a couple of cities.

If they want to go, then I say let them go.
