I would regret it more by not giving someone who isn't a career political hack a chance. That's the beauty of America,if in 4 years nothings changed we can vote them out and try again.

The electoral college serves a purpose of keeping the rural and urban areas of the country on a level playing field. Or else all politicians would do is target large urban areas for a popularity vote. Ask clinton if her strategy worked...
