It's mostly white people doing this type of work. I've worked on a harvest gig and there was 1 hispanic person. These folks pick blueberrys, apples, garlic, etc. most of them poor white roadies and former homeless. The trades on the other hand have been taken over by illegals. Those were good paying jobs that a poor citzen used to be able to feed their family doing. Framing houses, hanging drywall, pouring concrete, roofing, lawn care, etc. Americans NEVER were above these jobs, they just can't compete at the same wagea an illegal can live for.
Which completely kills the narrative that the illegals are doing jobs that "Americans won't do".
Which we already knew, the libs can't seem to catch up. They're too busy thinking illegals only scrub toilets, (ala Kelly Osbourne). And they want to call Trump a bigot?

Most of the Mexicans in my area work at the lumber mills or the peanut processing plants. I suspect there will still be a temporary work visa program to allow these people to keep working, but they should be monitored and made sure they go back home when they're supposed to.

Drive down the Central Valley and you'll say different. There are many more Latinos working in the agriculture industry than whites.

They aren't monitored and made to return to their country when their visas expire now?
They will? What federal funding do foreign nationals who are convicted criminals receive, exactly?
What do you think he should do? Invade Mexico with a convoy of cattle cars escorted by the Marines and open the doors when they get to Mexico City?
The wall that Trump says will actually be a fence in many places?
Trump added that the barrier to be erected on the US border with Mexico may not consist entirely of brick and mortar, but that fencing could be used in some areas. "There could be some fencing,” Trump said in his first primetime interview since being elected president last week. “But (for) certain areas, a wall is more appropriate. I’m very good at this, it’s called construction.”
The kind of wall that hasn't stopped illegal immigration since the first one was built? The kind that people keep re-crossing over and over again, no matter how many times they are apprehended and deported? That kind?
Maybe there is a final solution in the works that President-elect Trump is working on.
Someone asked about the rest who are just here illegally but haven't committed crimes. Trump addressed the nation about stopping the U.S. federal funding to illegal families. They will self deport then.
Maybe the fence in some places refers to the rough terrain areas? I don't really know.
As for the wall, he has outlined a plan that includes underground structures, drones, and high enough where it would deter most if not all.
if they are not already incarcerated, you have to find them first.....far easier said than done.
