Who's going to impeach him? GOP controls House and Senate. This guy will never resign, he will leave the country a black smoking ruin before he would ever considering doing that.

He'll figure it out just like most presidents prior.

I'm more concerned with the people he puts into place.

The odd and extraordinary thing is not to imagine the impeachment of an unfit con artist birther dolt, but rather the winning of the election by an unfit con artist birther dolt.

I predicted for 1.5 years here that Trump would be nominated & elected President. I say he won't be impeached.

Here's a tip for you. CNN will rot your brain.

I think the GOP would, if they felt the need, impeach Mr. Trump. My status states "Everybody Loves Trump! (now)", in recognition that, since he won, Republicans are jumping on his bandwagon (easy to do, since the wagon reached its destination and was hence stopped).

However, we must recall that the 'unease' (to put is mildly) that many Republicans felt over Mr. Trump, has not gone away, it is simply being hidden.

We had a thread (noted elsewhere) in which a professor, with a 30 year history of correctly predicting the next president (based on '13 questions'), again was correct in picking Mr. Trump. However, he also said that he felt it a good probability (citing his 'gut feeling') that Mr. Trump would be impeached. His reasoning was simple: most conservatives distrust Mr. Trump, and would much rather have Mr. Pence as the president.

I imagine that this professor is correct. We must recall that most members of the House and Senate are (although many would deny it) 'career politicians'. They enjoy the power and prestige. They probably think that Mr. Trump is an aberration, helped to office by several factors including running against a particularly unpopular Democrat (Hillary Clinton). They would privately note that Mr. Trump did, apparently, lose the popular vote, and that many voters voted for Mr. Trump as a default, since they would not vote 'for' Ms. Clinton. They would feel uneasy about the 2018 mid-term elections, worrying that the voters (as they often do) will turn to the party out of power. These sitting Republicans want to remain in their seats.

Many probably also feel that Mr. Trump would have little desire to run for a second term. Indeed, I had predicted after the RNC that Mr. Trump may well simply resign after two years, saying that he has (at least in his own mind) achieved all that he set out to do. I still feel that is a distinct possibility.

Anyway, if a reason arises to impeach Mr. Trump, I think many in the party would do so. It would benefit them by having a 'true' conservative as President (Mr. Pence), whom would then be well positioned to run on his own merits in 2020, and again in 2024, giving the Republicans a nice 8+ years hold on the White House. It would also satisfy many Democrats and Independents that view Mr. Trump with alarm (which will probably not be lessened with the first year in office, regardless of how well he does), and put the GOP in a 'good light' for being tough on even their own president.

We shall see.

What a fraud!
This is pure BS. Nobody runs for office in order to enrich their brand, since the best case scenario is you alienate half of your market. Once you're worth billions making more billions isn't much of a goal.

Check out how much Ben Carson's speaking fees and book sales increased ever since he pretended to run for the presidency and while you are at it you can check Gingrich and Huckabee's cashing in on bogus runs too.

Trump never believed he would get this far and totally did it for his brand and the TWO BILLION bucks of free publicity.

These candidates are getting rich running for president
