No basis at all.
I have posted in another thread about this. It might be to your benefit if you read the Constitution, and then read why the Constitution was written the way it was and what the Founding Fathers were thinking when they wrote it. The Constitution is a contract between the Union (States) and the Central government (the Federal government). The Union and the Federal government are two different things altogether. We the people give power to the Federal government via the Union. This is why the Constitution reads, that the government has enumerated powers, and the powers that are NOT spelled out in the Constitution are reserved for the States and the People.

You might come away with an understanding as to why the POTUS is elected via indirect vote, why the Representatives are elected by popular vote.

It would be a benefit to understand why we have different branches of government and just how they are suppose to operate.

Al Gore lost the closest electoral race but won the populate. There was uproar but nothing as disrespectful as the people have shown today because I think because this election pitted a man vs a woman.

Had it been Trump vs Sanders, don't think it would matter as much who win or loses.

I appreciate your post, but it's still untrue for anyone to claim that Donald Trump winning the electoral vote reflects any of the following:

"the voters have spoken"

"the silent majority"

"the will of the people"

"the people have spoken"

"mandate"

because of a liberal cesspool like California which is entirely Democratic and has a chance to swing the entire election everytime.

The system is designed to prevent the tyranny of the majority . It is designed to have a POTUS that reflects and appeals to more than just the large urban centers .

Looks like it worked as intended . Take that up with the candidate who couldn't be bothered to campaign in much of " flyover country". There is actually an entire country that exists between the NY-Philly-DC corridor and LA. Maybe the next Dem candidate will understand that .

Don't worry, the vote counts will be audited and we will see how many ineligible votes she received, Trump has millions of more actual legal people voting for him, nobody who wasn't born last night thinks otherwise.
